Can't fault him for trying, but it will take Lowry, P-Patt, 16th pick to MAYBE get the 5th pick & Chuckwagon.

Interesting that we would take Chuck back. Not because he's bad or anything -- obviously he was great when he was here, but that would only add to the logjam of PFs. One could also argue that Chuck is slightly overpaid and I'm not sure how he'd fit in McHale's 'system'.

 

Also what do the Rockets have to lose by losing Patterson? In the theory of Hayes rejoining the team?

You would still have Scola, Hayes, and Monty. With Camby at the 5 and whatever F/A or Draftee we get at that spot.

 

I believe we will still move up, but i believe Scola will have to be involved in some deal. You have to give a little to get alot.

True. But the stance the rockets are taking is of an aggressive nature.

I honestly believe we will move up and shed salary. As we are doing now. In preparation for the draft.

The Howard deal will be revisited once Orlando and the Rockets make their picks. Who knows.... maybe we might get a guy who falls or we pick up an established veteran to flip to Orlando. I like what Morey is doing. It's not all about Howard, but its in the case we don't get him... we would then have a fallout plan that appeases the fan base. Smart.

Agreed. I like what the Rockets is doing. Balancing everything to make sure Rockets get worth players in return. I would be still happy if we even cant get a star from Orl because we still get good players in the draft. But the trade talk with kings or other teams is going on and it will be interesting to see how's it gonna play out.

 

K-Mart, Lowry, etc... with 12th, 16th, 18th could still be had by teams.

Remember what we had started with?

What if we have 4 picks in the 1st round? absolutely insane. So many deals to be had. If he gets rid of Lowry for a high pick. It'll be a steal. I can almost guarantee he has reached his peak and on top of that... isn't on the level Dragic will be on one day.
