2010 squad was incredible, this team is not as good. Lucked your way through the tournament, Croatia should've knocked you out.

I am more worried about Italy than about Spain.

Del Bosque looks like a friggin walrus.

There goes your luck again. Really hate giving props to a team that just finds a way. Can't always win 4-1 like Germany bro. Sometimes you have to win 1-0.

Either way here's to Germany beating Italy! I wish you "luck"

When your opponent is too stupid to knock you out with 100% chances, then yes, it is luck.

Spain was better in overtime, Portugal was better during the 90 minutes.

    Anyway, it doesn't matter.

2 interesting matches remaining in this championship.

He didn't get it done today. Had the huge chance at the end of regulation.

Yung-T - careful on your usage of the word 'you', lol. ;)

You will probably beat Italy but anything can happen in a semifinal. I was rooting for Spain there just because I think a Spain - Germany final will be more exciting. Should have been the final of 2010, really. Spain were very, very lucky and have been boring the entire tournament. If they turn it on in the final, though, then they will deserve it.

I'm glad van Marwijk is out. We need something new. He lost control of the team and really there is no way back after that. We need a couple of strong personalities in there and assistant coaches that the players respect. The head coach - will be difficult. Can't think of an 'ideal' candidate (other than Cruyff who won't do it) but I would be happy with van Gaal. The most important element will always be the group of players. If they keep going with their inflated egos we won't even qualify for 2014. I'd be happy with just that at this point, we're just terrible and our defence is horrendously bad.

Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.
Cesc requested, just as Ronaldo probably did(which Bento agreed to his request), to take the 5th.
Gerrard did so in Istanbul, Drogba did so in Munich a couple of months ago.

Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't.

About time. He should have done so before his team landed at Schiphol.

If Balotelli comes to play, he's one of the most talented strikers in the tourney. Italia's defense is an iron curtain, they're also very good at playing the offside game.. A game that Gomez is horrible at. Germany looks strong but then again they always looks strong lol. Germany's best team was in 06 for the wc, prime ballack was a monster. However we all remember who eliminated Germany that year huh....

Should be great game though. Forza Azurri.

This year's Germany is far superior to the 2006 version!

I dont think so. Prime Ballack & Klose, a young podolski, schweinsteiger, lahm & that wall of metzelder & mertasacker. The stars were aligned for that squad not to mention home field advantage.

Yeah, everyone says that in Germany, including the 2006 players.

But they have to prove it by winning the title. Otherwise, they will go down in history like these Holland teams from 1974 and 1978... ;).
