800,000 plus ONLY ? Come on, dont tell me Yao cant even get 1,000,000 votes from China alone, not to mention the chinese votes from those living in the US . Have the votes from China been included in this latest count ? If not when will those votes be counted.

If Im from China I would be mad that the NBA would put out ballots in Chinese to get me to vote but wont make it be part of the official count . If they dont want Yao to get that big china support to show at all in fan votes for the allstar game , then dont encourage those in China to vote in the first place. People in China did not initiate anything to pressure the NBA to provide ballots in Chinese , it was the NBA's own initiative. They should have known better the big # of votes that would come for Yao right ? Its just unfair to say the least.

Geez, you think that Yao leading Shaq would be enough to AT LEAST shut the conspiracy theorists up, but I guess not...

I really don't understand the obsession with Yao getting the most votes. As long as he's starting, shouldn't Rocket fans be happy?

I dont care if Yao doesn't get the most votes. I know that the starters for the All-Star team is just a popularity contest. As much as I love Yao and the Rockets, he is not the best center in the Western Conference and should not be starting in my opinion. Go ahead and bash away, but I would prefer that Yao play in the rookie game and rest over the all-star break.

I should say play just in the rookie game and take in the rest of the festivities from the side, resting.

He shouldn't play the rookie game because he will be the main man there and have to play the whole game. While in the ASG, he will probably only need to play 15-20 mins.
