Have you ever seen chickens die trying to save their master? Have you ever seen cows trying to look for human beings at WTC? Have you ever seen sheeps sleeping on the same bed with humans? Have you ever heard the saying "dogs are men's best friends?"

Yao is going to start the All Star game because fans all over the world would rather see him then Shaq. Except for Laker fans not a whole lot of people care for Shaq, whereas Yao captures their imagination....Yao is exciting to watch and Shaq is less. Plain and Simple !

agreed. and there is another way to know whether votes from china are counted, that is to compare the number of votes the top players get this year and those the previous years. if votes from china were counted all the other top candidates would get millions more votes, not only yao ming, b/c you can't just vote yao and leave the other positions blank. i have a feeling that they were not counted or only a small small minority got counted, otherwise yao would be leading for sure.
