oh its the blazers trying to steal our strategy and going one-up on us,,, hmmmmmm where have i heard this before? O,o

if the blazers are going after dwight, that would be completely crazy. they dont have anyone outside of lamarcus aldridge that can support dh12 apart from maybe batum. at least we have so much more room to improve on than they do.

Are we even allowed to do that? Trade for a player now and then trade him at the deadline.

Either way I'm sure by that time Dwight will know whether or not he still wants to jump ship or he'd have his contract extension signed. Morey will have a better feel of what's on the up-and-up.

Newcomers should know the legend of Popeye aka: Oileperre (SP?) too as long as we are on the subject. If he did pass I think the statues of limitations should be expired and the story told.

Yah I mean you technically could acquire and then flip him before he even arrives...let alone by the deadline.

The only way Portland does this is if they offer Aldridge.

Morey, do just this one little thing for me ...NO TRADING WITH THE LAKERS! We don't help the Lakers out of salary cap hell. We don't help them improve their roster. We are the Houston Rockets! We tell the Lakers to eat shi#$, we don't help them!

yea - I don't think Pau will make everyone happy. I doubt you'd even please 1/2 the board with move.

There's no way Portland could field a team around Dwight that would convince him to commit. They are just trying to be Rock Blockers as usual.

Progno: Rockets take DH with no assurances(1),
We will get all of DWill, superman, and "happy"* on Thursday(2),
DWill has "left" (leaves) the Nyets(3)
Trade will cost us, at least, all of draft picks, Kevin Martin, and renouncement of bird rights to CLee and GDragic. No SG of value left on roster(4)
Howard really wanted to stay in Orlando, but they decide to build through the draft rather than around the superstar(5)
    Happy* = I (6)
Clutch guesses that "I" is Smith. (7)
We'll get Cleveland pick in trade and they'll pick Ross and stuff. No way we'll think about Drummond over Howard, even though Morey's stats compute greatness (8)

    Aren't Courtney and Dwight bf's?

    Williams
    Lee
    Parsons
    Scola
    Howard

That's potentially our best team. Leaves us the ability to sign two bench guys via free agency.

Bynum or Pau and I'd be pissed. Not only are they sub-par and/or washed up...I dislike just about everything about them.

It was just some rumor posted on the lakers forum...has nothing to do with the doc rocket threat...other then people though to combine the two.

I dont see the laker twist in what doc rocket posted at all...nor do I think anyone does that trade even though it could be good for all parties.

Seriously, if we trade all these draft picks and just end up with Gasol and/or Bynum, I may have to seriously consider turning my back on this franchise after 35 years of fandom.

Also, can't believe people still put so much energy into trying to figure out Doc posts. Such a waste of time.
