    Not a smoke screen. Magic are trying to acquire Smith. Morey is going to make it difficult for them to do that if they keep Dwight. They can't get Smith for the assets they have. We can if they don't trade us Dwight.

    Obviously people are interpreting his prose as forehand knowledge of Dwight and DWill to Houston. I'm not doubting the guy's insider status, but let's assume that Doc Rocket is Morey for argument's sake. How could even Morey himself know for sure what will transpire on Thursday? They are still feverishly trying to acquire top 10 picks just to offer to Orlando for such a trade. None of this appears to be in the bag yet. Unless we already have deals for those picks in place (which I doubt since it appears we are still talking to teams about their picks e.g. Hornets), much of this depends on what other teams are willing to take for their early lotto picks! Perhaps Orlando has already informed Houston what it would take to consummate a deal and now all we have to do is put that package together, but that is highly doubtful since we would have heard more chatter about other teams chasing lotto picks as well. There are still waaay too many loose ends for anyone to say with certainty that D12 or DWill are going to be wearing Rockets Red come Thursday.

    Doc also gives himself an out by saying "One way or the other...right?" This tells me he isn't sure either and is just hoping or speculating.
