On the contrary, I think this statement is untrue and I doubt their bromance is that deep. If Dwight comes here, we'll be able to surround him with pieces to contend and I'm sure Morey will convince him of that. Plus, money talks.

Remember, Chris Webber didn't want to play for Sacramento at first either.

This betting on Drummond for a few years reminds me of Roy Hibbert on the Pacers. I think if we stick with Drummond we'll still be a mediocre team at best.

They aren't mediocre. They're just never going to truly contend for a title, which isn't exactly the goal for a GM.

I don't think it is about Bromance though.

I think Dwight wants to be with another superstar. That's just how I feel about it reading his comments and how he has acted.

I don't think Morey will convince him that he can surround him with a bunch of good role players because Dwight played with a bunch of good role players and in the end didn't get it done. I think he wants to team up with another superstar.

Money talks but he's going to get paid no matter what.

I just think it would be safer to roll with Drummond, especially with all the big men coaches we can bring him to. CD, Mchale, Hakeem...and natrually learning from Camby (and Drummond's shot blocking instinct is already pretty good) and watching guys like Scola and Parsons... I just think if there is any team that can bring the potential out of Drummond it's the Rockets.

Plus the back issues scare me...but I guess that's what having T-mac on your team will do to you.

Plus if we get another top 10 pick then we can roll the dice on Lamb or Liliard or whoever as well.

I'd just rather keep two top 10 picks myself just because I don't see how we can convince him to stay. Of course...if Morey feels like he can...then does...

But it's going to suck if he bolts and we lost out on two top 10 picks (and would suck more if they turned out to become something)

Hmm.. to each his own. I think the only reason Dwight wants to go to Brooklyn is for the bright lights and fame. We'll see.

He's going to get paid no matter what? Nah, we'll be able to offer him more if he gets traded to us.

So since the Kings didn't work out any top 10 prospect, I think it's safe to assume that we have a trade in place for the 5th pick.

The only things we do not know is if we'll be able to get that 2nd top 10 pick and if we'll be able to get Dwight with those said picks.

I believe they have worked out some top 10 prospects, just not within the past few days or the days remaining til the draft. Most of teams' evaluations are done outside of the individual workouts. Not sure if it's safe to assume we have a trade but it is definitely possible.

Ah you're right. They've worked out Zeller, Drummond, Terrence Jones. Dunno who else. But still, these guys are pick 9ish and below (except Drummond)

Yall are insane! Even if Drummond lived up to his potential (which he won't) he would never ever ever (i cant stress this enough) be near as dominating as Dwight is.

Dwight Howard is the most dominant player in the game today, because no other center is even close to him he can get 30-20 on any given night and he is a monster on defense.

im gonna go out on a limb hear and u can quote me but Drummonds entire career will not be as good as the year Dwight has next year no matter where he ends up!

Thabeet always said the right things too. Unfortunately, you can't judge these guys by an interview anymore.

With Drummond. You have a chance to build up his game at just 18 years old and if he pans out, you potentially have a star to grow old with as a fan. A decade and a half of a player that is our own is better than 6 years of Dwight. The T-Mac years went by all too fast. Give me the player to grow old with. <3

    =)

The people that would rather have drummond over dwight howard need to check themselves into a mental institution.

This is arguably the most preposterous stance i have ever read on clutchfans.
