What if the Kings have shot at Gilchrist or Barnes, which is very likely? Moreover, they still could also have shot and Beal, and trade Thornton or Evans?

They would want daly for his contract. His option could save them a lot of money. But I like your example as well

Dalembert and #16 for #5 would be a HUGE steal. I don't see how that is actually a legitimate proposal. If Sacramento actually agrees to this, I wouldn't be surprised if Stern nixes this deal too (but behind the scenes to avoid public uproar).

Who would the Rockets want at #8? I don't see a lot of talent difference between 8 and 14.

It's what Orlando wants. Rockets are trying to get high picks to get DH from Orlando. Seems like drummond is one obvious choice to replace DH. Jameer is a FA after this year, so a PG would be enticing as well. Lilllard and Drummond would be ideal, but Lillard and Henson is more realistic.

Both Lillard and Drummond will likely be gone by the 8th pick. Henson makes sense.

If this is part of the deal for Howard, YES.

    If not, then NO.

Because this is the most overrated draft in a long time. I think Drummed will be a pretty good, but I would much rather take my chances on Dwight and possibly D-Will as well.

    That's my opinion on it

I guess if you really think its a one year rental but why are you so sure that is all it would be?

The more I read about Drummond the less I want him......

As for Lowry - no way you trade him he is far too important...wait...what? We aren't talking about Dragic?

    Oh, screw it, trade Lowry.

We have two starting caliber PG's on the team in Lowry and Dragic and can only give one the 30+ minutes they deserve. We have a great opportunity to trade one and improve the team elsewhere. Now I wouldn't mind keeping either so if we trade Lowry the team better be damn sure they can resign Dragic.

We need to trade Lowry, his value is the highest it has been for his career (he is just hitting his prime) and after his meltdown over Dragic starting I wouldn't keep him anyway. He's entitled to want to start but to voice his dissatisfaction publicly is not appropriate.

If Dragic doesn't come back, We will be in trouble.. Fortson FTW?

if we used up all of our picks and trade out our top2 players (lowry)...
we better make sure D.Williams will seal a deal with us...

otherwise...it is better for us to keep those picks!

If trade talk re-open for 8, I'm sure that it will be on draft night because the raptors most likely have their eye on someone (lilliard) there. If he's taken by the Blazers, they will move the pick imo.

If we swapped Lowry to Toronto for #8 straight up, we would have #8, #14 and #16 to reload. We could take Meyers Leonard at #8 (Drummond would be off the boards by then); Arnett Moultrie at #14 and Marquis Teague / Kendall Marshall at #16. We could then offload Morris and/or 2Pat for future first rounders. With Lowry gone, the Rockets have an easier time re-signing Dragic.

    Camby / Dalembert / Leonard
    Scola / Moultrie / Motiejunas
    Parsons / Budinger /
    Martin / Lee
    Dragic / Teague

Morey's always has a plan. Just like his Gasol-Nene-Hayes-Lin plan

    His current plan is:

    Lowry to Toronto for #8
    #14th + #16th + Dalembert for #5

    Martin, #5th, #8th for Howard

Go all in for Deron Williams

Build a super team. This is Morey's plan...

And what if his plan doesnt work, Dwill stays and Howard bounces. The number 5 becomes a future Allstar, number 8 turns to the next Ray Allen?

Howard wouldn't leave all the extra money on the table. That's around 25mil+ he'd walk away from. On top of that, where would he go and still be competitive? The nets would suck, LA teams can't afford him, and there's no point in going to Dallas if D-will isn't there. He can whine all he likes, but he knows he would be "stuck" here for at least 2 seasons if he wants that max bonus. And there'd be no other team (that could afford him) out there that's better for him to contend if D-will signs.
