As for the Phillies, why not go for Phillipe Aumont?
I think you're underrating Lowrie. He is one of the best offensive SS in the league right now, I say we go for Jacob Turner.
Hope they package CJ in any deal so Wallace can show what he can do before its too late. Doubt Lee gets moved with the season he's had unless they dump big bucks on him. If Lowrie does get dealt I can see Villar getting called up eventually with the team struggling. Unless they think Paredes could handle ss with his athleticism.
Would like Turner, but the Astros need left-handed starters in the system. Crosby or Andy Oliver need to be in the return from the Tigers.
If Jed Lowrie's batting avg falls in Minute Maid and no ones around to hear it does it make a noise? I don't think its a matter of underrating him but rather being realistic about his value right now. GMs are smart enough to realize he's done nothing in his career until now and is struggling some at the moment. Who knows if he can be consistent.
Tigers can't have Lowrie unless they make Turner or Castellanos available. Phillies, has to start with Biddle.
If Lowrie is dealt, what do you think the chances are of us to get a look at Jose Martinez? Considering how he is playing and being a Luhnow favorite I would think he would get strong consideration.
He has been playing 2nd but he has played short in the past. Given his age, he either needs to get a shot with the big club in some capacity or he needs to be dealt. One thing is certain, Altuve isn't going anywhere anytime soon so he most likely won't be getting a shot at 2nd.
If Fister learns to keep the ball down in the zone, he would be fine. At 6'8", when he gets the ball down in the zone, it has a nasty sinking action.
I wonder if the ChiSox trading for Youk will give the Tigers a sense of urgency in regards to trade talks for Lowrie. It certainly won't hurt.
Yeah. I guess it is a good problem to have, but monitoring these guys success in the minors really makes you yearn for player movement.
