Have an entire generation that grew up with USA being enemy #1

The "war on terror" was and still an enormous failure..

    Bush was a monster ...
The house and senate democrats were spineless

Now Obama is stuck with his dick in his hand

There are less militants who are capable of actually threatening the United States, and that's the important thing. 10 well-trained militants with actual equipment is a greater threat than a thousand angry dudes who have nothing more than a couple AKs.

There are more after Al Qaeda pulled a Jesse Ventura and beat Hubert Humphrey's grandkid in his own backyard.

Or pulled a Jack Pardee and beat the Niners at Candlestick.

My guess is that there are a heck of a lot more folks in certain parts of the world who harbor a rather strong dislike for the United States. I also would guess that that translates into more "terrorists" trying to do us harm. I'm trying to be conservative with my guesses, btw. Now, there may be fewer top people than there were, certainly the top people in bin Laden's gang of thugs, but again, I'm guessing that the gross numbers are higher.

There's more angry, disenfranchised middle easterners, but AQ is less of a threat.

    Agreed.

But they were angry and disenfranchised before already. They just have a scapegoat they can blame everything on, rather than their lack of education, backwards customs and lack of cultural sensitivity.
