Barring some meaningless TDs in the 4th Quarter (or a miracle comeback) by WSU, OU has now allowed 5 pts combined in their last 3 bowl games (2 vs FSU, 3 vs. Ark, 0 vs. WSU). Why oh why don't we have a defense that can do this?!?

Give Stoops a month and he'll shut down any offense. But, we did play the Aggies and OSU better.

Agreed. Give that staff a month to prepare, and I would never, ever bet against them. Arkansas is no biggie, but shutting down WSU and FSU is ridiculous. FSU hadn't been shut own in decades (?) and would have been except for a cheap safety. WSU hasn't been shut out in 18 years.

I was with three people tonight, one a die hard OU fan, and we all agreed that he did not even touch the ball.

It was amazing how high he got though.

My guess would be that the OU coaching staff does a better job disciplining their players. Heck, I'd be scared if I did something wrong in front of Mike Stoops. That young guy is full of emotion and intensity.

Where with UT you have some old retread by the name of Carl Reese, who defenses sometimes fall apart away from DKR. Kind of surprises me that there has not been more debate about whether he should be fired.

Isn't Mike Stoops on the sidelines ,while Reese is in the coaches box?

I don't think Mack Brown needs to go, but I think it would help UT if they hired younger coaches who show the fire like Mike Stoops does.

    You may get your wish.

There are . . . rumors that Carl Reese might "retire" in a few days. I can in no way speak on how valid the rumors are, but that's what the rumblings are.
