Adding the 28th pick to a package including 14 and/or 16 arguably makes the package worth less, not more.

Hoopshype is actually a decent rumour site because it is just a one-stop shop for all the recent quotes out there that pertain to rumours in the bball world. Its basically just a massive retweet.

I took the rumour as though OKC does not want to add another young player to their roster that will not see the floor, and will take up cap space. I would assume Presti is looking at trading the pick back two years if he can to a team like the Nets that desperately need depth on their roster. Seems like a simple enough move. Nothing too roster shaking. Trade the 28th pick for a 2014 2nd round pick and cash considerations.

I dont know about Cole Aldrich getting moved any time soon, and Im not sure Id want him anyways. If you cant beat out Nazr Mohammed for minutes as a backup center then I question your ability to be the Rockets next great big man. Pass.

Again, I am a life long UK fan and I watched EVERY game he played at UK. Frustrating at worst, baffling at best. You can look up his stats all you want but with out Davis and Jones to catch his lobs you can cut his asst numbers in half. His shot selection is perplexing and at times he would force 3pt shots or mid range jumpers when he DOES NOT have that kind of range. His true shooting % dropped (when it should have gone up as opposing teams learned who he was playing with) as the season went on. His +/- dropped as the season went on. He only looked good because he usually had 5 of the best 7 guys on the floor to pass it to.

I know who he is. How many of his college games did you watch? Reading the scouting report or draft express doesn't make you an expert.

I'd take Cole in a heart beat. He's been in the league less than two years, puts up solid numbers for the lack of PT he gets, and is getting valuable experience on a NBA finals team.

3-4 years from now with starters minutes, he can easily average 12 and 9. He's got the big physical body to do it.

Experience waiving his Pom Poms maybe. I dont understand why people on this board are so enamored with this guy. He hasn't been able to beat out Navr Mohammed for crying out loud.

I do not think adding #28 in the draft will mean much to a team with a high pick, if it did, they would simply aquire it on their own.

I would agree to deal cash for #28 if there is a foreign player the Rockets like still on the board at that pick. We have had success with Lull and D-Mo.

Have you seen them play? Their best 3 point shooter is Durant and that's it. They need someone that can hit the open 3 playing along Harden. Harden creates but Thabo nor Fisher are great 3 point shooters.

The Thunder don't want to move Aldrich, and certainly wouldn't do so to dump a first rounder. Let's just stop the nonsense about sneaking off with one of their players.

If the Rockets were serious about burning down the house and rebuilding (they should, they aren't, they won't), buying any available picks in this draft would be a smart move. There's a wealth of worthwhile fliers you could take at the end of the first or even first 10 picks of the second.

    Quincy Miller
    Kyle O'Quin
    Miles Plumlee
    Festus Ezeli
    Darius Miller
    Tyshawn Taylor
    Evan Fournier (if he drops)

Obviously no sure things (actually, I think Plumlee is a sure thing as a usable 10 min F/C backup), but I think all of the above have enough to them that you could roll the dice on them, and odds aren't awful that some of them will stick as rotation guys.

Quincy Miller would be a great pickup at #28. Very Paul Georgesque.

Cant go wrong with a high flyer.

Not interested. We don't need another mid/late 1st rounder.

Wouldn't mind trading for this pick.

We can then trade this pick for a second rounder + cash.

That is not the case in this draft. I see what would be top 10 picks in other drafts going in the early-mid 20s.
