Circumstance people, circumstances.. Sure, they T-Mac comeback was un-Godly and I voted for it. But I don't see this as a troll thread at all. That game at OKC featured a very hot Thunder with the best closer in the game. The Rockets were only a week removed from their starting backcourt, (at the time Lowry and Martin) not even with the team and out for a while. This game featured Fortson being Dragic's back-up, and Bud playing out of poistion, several minutes at the shooting guard. If memory serves me correct, I want to say OKC was 12.5 point favorites in this game.
It was sweet enough to get the victory in OKC, but it was in dramatic come from behind fashion. IMO, Tracy's 13 will never be duplicated, at least for this franchise, but the win in OKC is definitely a memorable one, and the best come from behind games probably since Tracy's.

We should have made the playoffs, ultimately, bc of the OKC comebk soooo....
It should be a tough decision, but we didn't make the playoffs, and the slumping Rockets (Travis first year we finally were at .500 by Christmas .500!)-what that tem did to earn
The 5th seed missed 4th by a GM man...well that tax in 33 is amazing, gave the tem a ton of confidence, and rid multiple douches off that team soon after....what a end of that season can anyone recall our ending record that year juwon Howard went out with the heart ailment, and who MIKE JAMES best ball ever!

Not if we JAD made the playoffs again IF but then again had Tracy not made the playoffs...his comebk yrwoild he have missed most of the next season. I remember watching the OKC comebk live and it WAS a far more possible
And should we not have cooled would have been a better, and more important
Comebk especially bc each game counted 124% more than a early game in a
    Full 82 GM season.

I think the Tmac 13 in 33 was more incredible than anything that's ever happened in NBA history. I was at that game btw and didn't leave early. It was priceless to see the shocked spurs fans walking around after that happened.

Better question: Was T-Mac's comeback the best comeback of all time?

I say yes. I know it was just a regular season game but the way it happened was so ridiculously amazing. The game was over. Most teams let you dribble out the clock at that point since a comeback is basically impossible. It would be tough to replicate that even on a video game.

That Spurs team that McGrady torched had a sick defense( i think they were number 1). With a prime TD, Manu, and Parker, and probably the best perimeter defender in the league in Bowen

OKC on the other hand, rarely played D

When I watch the T-Mac clip I get goosebumps it is my favorite basketball moment that I remember (was like 1 when we won the championships) so it wins.

But when you think about us coming back from 10 down against the western conference champs and we dont have that superstar like T-Mac and it was really a collective TEAM effort it makes proud to be a fan.

Also that game is when I knew Goran Dragic was for real!

Nothing can beat that amazing performance by T-Mac but a very close in my opinion is Rockets in Boston a couple years ago. It was one of the best games I've ever seen. So many amazing plays. Aaron Brooks's three, The Chuckwagon's amazing defense:grin:, Chase's ridiculous three, Scola tongue, Hill's blocks. I had that game recorded and must have re-watched it that summer at least a dozen times to get my Rockets fix. I cannot think of a regular season game that had me that emotional tied. And remembered re-watching Brooks's three over and over again. Miss that little guy.:(

As a rockets fan since 1978 ish, minus the ring yrs, that was the most incredible display I've seen by a rocket player. I've seen the quad double by dream and some of the great things by moses, calvin, and others, but that end of the game was crazy.

Lol yeah I guess, I knew that not only T-Mac's 13 points in 33 seconds is the most incredible and impossible comeback in Rockets history, but the best last seconds comeback in NBA history. I thought Rockets comeback against Thunder were still amazing considering Rockets were rebuilding medicore team and Thunder were very great team.

I did a really detailed breakdown of the OKC game's comeback, because as I watched it over and over, I noticed that there were a lot of little details that were the types of things which were important but easily missed. And so it needed to be put on display so it could be better appreciated.

However, the number one thing to take away from that game was that Westbrook basically gave that game away. It was not so much the Rockets TAKING it away, as Westbrook making one stupid play after another, just enough to let the Rockets get over the hump. Yes, the Rockets were outstanding in clutch time, Lee and Dragic really stepped up, but without Westbrook's help, this discussion does not even exist.

It was a great win, no doubt, and easily in the top five all time for this franchise, if not in the top two.

But there is never any doubt about the TMac game. That was easily the best in the history of the Rockets, and could very easily be the best single-player-driven comeback in the entire history of the league - top five for sure without a doubt.

    It was perfection.

It will never get old, even though Tracy did. Even though Yao broke down.

What I do wish for is a definitive high-definition version of the Tmac game, because watching the old recordings of that on regular TV def is really hard to take now.
