Darryn, I might be the only one, but I appreciate your perspective. The more views we have from outside Rocketland, the better the picture. I was excited at first reading of pop's post,however, the more I thought about it, the more rediculous it sounded. Pop's has a great rep around here, so I'm sure there was some inquiring about Jamison. If the Rockets did talk to GS at all it was around the time New York and Seattle were trying to make their deal. If we've learned anything over the years is the Rockets never sleep on a deal. Once again i am amazed at the level of stupidity that exists on this board. You can say all you want about the fact that the Warriors suck etc. etc. and havent won a championship since the 70's. I am not gonna f@%#ing deny that, we do suck, but does that mean I should give up an become a Lakers fan???? If someone can address the points that have been posted as to the ridiculousness of this trade we could actually have an intelligent discussion. 1. Jamison has publicly said that HE wants to be the one to turn GOLDEN STATE around and plans on spending his whole career here. 2. He has personally been the one Warrior who recruited Hughes when trade discussions were ongoing and helped convince Fortson to sign here this summer. 3. Jamison has worked out on a daily basis at the Warriors practice facility in Oakland. 4. He is the centerpiece of the Warriors marketing campaign. This really sounds like someone who is anxious to get out, Huh? Regardless of these factors even, trading Jamison would be a public relations nightmare for the Warriors. They have enough trouble selling tickets as it is, why in the hell would they consider something as foolish as this. Other than your mysterious "source" this trade is nothing but Bboard BS. You Golden State fans are coming over to our site, and ridiculing us, when none of you have proven yourselves as being credible sources for anything. One of you claimed to be a source, but gave no credence to that statement. The reason your arguments don't stand up, is because you don't read all the way through the threads, and claim things aren't true because of your opinion, and throw out uneducated, impulsive opinions, and don't understand the points being made. That's about like saying that walking into a garage and really believing I'm a car, makes me a car. You come off foolish and "just don't get it." We are trying to be patient with you, and are interacting with you because it is a boring period of time on this BBS, and its sort of fun to jab at you. But to say, "my work is done," like you have educated us, good grief! The person who started this thread has a history on this BBS with inside informed sources, that have repeatedly turned out to be accurate before the fact for years now, and he doesn't have your confidence because you don't have that history with him. Sometimes his wishes, hopes, and opinions don't turn out to be accurate, such as wishing we could get Odom or Duncan, (I've been worse) but he has a track record of knowing things that are being discussed behind the scenes. We don't mind you guys coming over here to comment, but read the posts and give us something more educated to read, or else you won't be taken seriously, much less educate us. ------------------ the more I know, the more I know I don't know...
I wasn't talkin trash. Like I said, I don't feel either the warriors or rockets are going anywhere this year. I think both teams are at least two years away. As far as the warriors and rockets playing each other, they are both young teams and either team could eaisly win. ------------------
