Uhh why? For casual basketball fans Heat - Thunder is heaven.

Exactly, a true basketball fan appreciates team play. Casual fans only notice the dunks....so a MIA/OKC matchup would be ideal for them.

Either way I will watch, but if its BOS/OKC the casual fan doesn't watch. This is why the NBA won't let that happen.

I understand writing the articles beforehand, and making the shirts- but for godsake don't post them until after the game's over!

I agree in terms of team basketball is a joy to watch. With that said how can you not want to see the 2 titans of the NBA lebron and durant go at it in an NBA finals? Casual or not that is the match up i want to see.

True basketball fans want to see clash of the titans, not "teamwork". LeBron vs. Durant is just too good of a matchup to pass up. Besides. The old ass big three would get swept in the finals if they were to face the Thunder.

I would have enjoyed a Duncan-KG matchup for a nostalgia trip since both guys had glimpses of the past this season. That would have been fun.

Maybe the two of them can play a game for 3rd place?

it should be the other way around. it's the league and its website that should be embarrassed.

I want the Celtics to win the title for this reason alone.

what's better for the NBA is that the hottest team in the playoffs should take the title.

I don't give a hot damn if it's better for the NBA.

I'd like to see the Celtics get one last shot at the title. Whoever mentioned that the Celtics' teamwork is not ideal to watch in comparison to Heat offense, what do you call the Thunder offense? That team is solid at every position and they share the ball. Hell, James Harden comes off of the bench to score 20, Serge gives you double doubles and so can Perk. That is the same mold of Teamwork we see on the Celtics.

In comparison, the Heat normally have 2 guys dominating the ball. Yes, there have been exceptions, but I'm tired of LBJ and Wade isoing over and over.

At least Rondo gives the ball up.

People really arguing over what is a true NBA fan.

Different people favor different matchups neither makes you a true or fake fan.
