Awesome. Now all those gas guzzling SUVs and pickups in Texas can strive for new lows in gas mileage.

Hey dude, just because you have a huge penis doesn't mean that other guys don't have the right to compensate with large vehicles or excessive smiley faces in their forum posts.

I don't really like this idea, especially in a very crowded part of Texas. Going on the roads where it's already 80 scares me enough, particularly since my husband is usually driving and pushes it to 85-90. That doesn't leave you much reaction time if anything goes wrong. On the other hand, true enough that 130 is relatively empty (haven't been on it in a long time though); no one wants to pay for it so most of the traffic remains where it always was.

Have you seen BetterThanI's pic? It's like that all the time on that freeway. I drive it all the time when I go see my parents in Georgetown and I've never been in any kind of traffic on that highway.

It also costs nothing in gas if you're willing to go 3 mph by walking.
It's not a simple gas efficiency equation. You have to factor in how much your time is worth. Until how much I save in gas is worth more than how much value I put towards the time savings I get, I will continue driving faster than 55 mph.

Oh, I see 'em just fine. But he's a half-mile away and we're quite literally the only two vehicles on the road. I think I'll be okay.

As long as they stay in the right lane, its not a big deal. There are signs that say that, too. That's the biggest reason for traffic. People in America don't consistently pass cars to their right, and instead just pick a lane and drive in it.

Signs explaining that the left lane is used to pass someone on the right should be as prevalent as signs posting the speed limit.
