Well, I'd gladly upgrade our current selfish scorer (Mobley) for one of the best players in the league.

Giving up Cuttino Mobley & Mo Taylor for Vince is a no-brainer in my mind. I have a feeling Vince wouldn't be injured so much if he wasn't the single focal point of his team.

    Francis
    Carter
    Posey/Rice
    Griffin
    Ming

    Nice.

Vince is $$$ because he's the #1 jersey sales worldwide, the #1 market force. That should be slipping a bit, but still a mega force. Was not using the colloquial term "money" to mean clutch player. From a biz standpoint... massive pub and sales worldwide with VC and YM and role players, instead of SF and YM and role players. SF is gaining, though. VC is a marketing machine, and teamed with Yao - worldwide merchandise and comcast mega$$$. Biz-wise, it's prolly smart to mix in a Euro and a NY thug player, to tap all markets.

Basketball another question. They'd probably play pretty ok together. Who cares? I just sold the franchise and broadcast rights for a bankload to Ted Turner.

With Yao AND Carter AND Francis, the Rockest could be rich if they marketed it like crazy. 3 ALL STARS. Yep...never gonna happen

Vince's SELFISH? Do you know what you're saying? In Toronto they are even saying he's not taking enough shots! Vince is a team player and if you follow any of his game, you would know! He isn't overated. The reason Vince take more shot then anyone because he's the only guy on the team that can shoot consistently! Take a look at the team a couple of years ago and you'll know what I'm talking about! Vince's not a clutch player? Do a research on the guy before you judge him for this season only!!

Vince to Cleveland? Makes no sense to me. They already have Wagner and Davis as '2's.

Vince to Houston? How did he and Rudy get on while on the Dream Team? If there is grandness there, why not? I just doubt grandness was found there...

From a business perspective it makes incredible sense. Vince is possibly the most popular player in the NBA- he's the #1 all-star voting in the east - without doing jack squat.

Vince, Steve and Yao would be All-star starters for the next 5-10 years. In addition, he would fill the stands at the new arena.

I just perfer defence minded players- but if traded for mobley(in a package) -- thats a wash in terms of defense.

In terms of business the Rockets MUST explore this.

Huh??? You lost me. Defense wins rings. Offense fills the stands. The Rockets are trying to do both. Not sure what you mean by ****tier players if that means -- high IQ players that can play D - then yes.

Maryland, again...your trade scenario makes no sense..but even if it did, you don't pass on Vince Carter for scraps. It's just not what GMs do.

Yeah. I live in MD-- and went to Univ. of MD -- but have always loved the Rockets! Since Moses Malone days.

Toronto was very interested in Mobley and Taylor when they were free agents -- so I doubt they view them as scraps. To date - Toronto has played better (i.e. last years playoff run) w/ out Vince. I could care less if we get him of not so I'm not really calling for a deal. But It would make sense in terms of ticket sales. Vince would probably thrive on our team -- he would not have to lead or be "the franchise" we have 2.

I am too quite sure about Carter's salary. But he must be expensive!
