There's something to be said for purposefully idiotic lyrics (Crash Test Dummies, Hanson). But to actually sit down and try to write lyrics, and to fail so miserably, deserves its own circle of hell. From the distant memory of my misspent youth, I present Limp Bizkit: "Rollin.'" Witness the constant repetition of "rollin'," for no particular reason. See the way the lyricist rhymes "right here" in successive lines. Oh, but he's not done. He follows up this masterpiece, in the very next stanza, by ending four lines in a row with "up." Clearly, this is the laziest yet popular lyrics-writing of my lifetime. They made a lot of money off this. It hopefully bought their guitarist a lifetime's worth of crazy-colored contact lenses. Because clearly, they did not care. And just as clearly, nor did the music-buying public. [rquoter][...]Breathe in now breath out Hands up now hands down Back up back up Tell me what you're gonna do now Keep rollin' rollin' rollin' rollin' (x4) Now I know ya'll be lovin this **** right here L.I.M.P Bizkit is right here People in the house with them hands in the air Cause if you don't care then we don't care One two three times two to the sixth Jonesin for you picks of the Limp Bizkit mix So where the **** you at punk? Shut the **** up And back the **** up Before we **** this track up (Throw yo hands up) Move in now move out Hands up now hands down Back up back up Tell me what you're gonna do now[...][/rquoter]
I took my love, I took it down Climbed a mountain and I turned around And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills Till the landslide brought me down Spoiler
We found love in a hopeless place We found love in a hopeless place We found love in a hopeless place We found love in a hopeless place
oh and the worst way to ruin a pop song..random rap. maroon 5 - payphone [Wiz Khalifa] Man work that ***** I'll be out spending all this money while you sitting round Wondering why it wasn't you who came up from nothing Made it from the bottom Now when you see me I'm stunning And all of my cars start with the push up a button Telling me the chances I blew up or whatever you call it Switched the number to my phone So you never could call it Don't need my name on my show You can tell it I'm ballin' Swish, what a shame could have got picked Had a really good game but you missed your last shot So you talk about who you see at the top Or what you could've saw But sad to say it's over for Phantom pulled up valet open doors Wiz like go away, got what you was looking for Now ask me who they want So you can go and take that little piece of ***** with you
I know nothing about virtually all of these lyrics or who wrote them or what song they are from... but I can tell they suck. Terribly. Who listens to this ****?
Well using your own formula a lot of all time "great" rock bands would be crap. I mean doesn't your formula work for "I wanna hold your hand" by the beatles? Or even Ob la di? Repetative, catch hooks repeat.
I told her, I'm not so sure about this place It seems like everyone here's got a plan It's kinda like Nashville, with a tan That's the best you could come up with? That the people are tan? If anything wouldn't Nashville be compared to california- not the other way around?
