imma keep this short and sweet and i was just wondering why aren't there any plays of getting Yao in/near the paint as much as possible. yao in the paint is almost as unstopable as shaq in the paint. i think yao is more effective as a catch and shoot/dunk type player. his post his good but it won't work all the time. until yao gets stronger rockets should get plays where they have yao cutting to the basket or in some sorts of that. we saw it in the LA game and the Dallas game, he rarely misses from close range. also they make yao stand to far out from the basket during plays, thats why i think he doesn't get enough rebounds. so IMO to make yao more effective and the rockets better the key is TO GET YAO IN THE PAINT!! i know its hard for him to establish position down there but theres got to be many plays that gets him down there. just throw it to him and he'll get it. we will start winning more once the rockets use yao better.
Yep. And then Yao will be called for 3 seconds. He is best when in the paint. They can't stop him. And it's very easy for him. He should be in the middle more often.
i doubt it'll take yao more than 3 secs to get off a shot from that close to the goal. its most effective at this stage until yao develops more strength or a better strategy.
