IF, during the off season, he works on his shot and can shoot it pretty good from mid range on a consistent basis? he is one of the few true PG's in the league.........
I would think so. If he gets a shot, I can't think of any PG out there who can do so many things on an elite level (pass, reb, def).
He's not going to fix his shot. This is the second year in a row that he's shot under 60% from the FT line. He is what he is.
IMHO shooting the only thing holding him back. If he could hit open 3's with consistency (like make team for leaving him open) I'd consider him just one step below D-Will and CP3 when you account for salary. If he could also hit open mid-range J's with consistency I'd say he would have been the best pg in the L (when you account for salary), and nobody's would be even close, we'd be talking about DH or Lebron to the rest of their position type of difference. As is I'd say he's top 10. Right now he's playing on a veteran team that minimizes his scoring weakness. If he was alone he wouldn't be able to do anything.
Being a consistent shooter is literally the only thing holding him back. Otherwise he'd be one of the most complete players in the NBA.
All he needs is a midrange and he would be unstoppable. I would take him any day over CP3. I dislike how CP3 flops all over the place. Rondo plays tough and so far is very durable.
With some posters, the mere thought of entertaining or insinuating that Rondo might be a slight inch better ... is sacrilege on this forum. You clearly are not knowledgeable of the NBA and the abilities of Kyle Lowry.
I think he's already 3rd best behind CP3 and Dwill both who have a shot If he gets a shot he will be SCARY
