1. Re-sign Dragic/Camby 2. Bring over Donuts 3. TRADE -- Lowry/Scola/14th pick for Evans/Garcia/5th pick 4. DRAFT Thomas Robinson with the 5th pick 5. TRADE -- Martin/Morris for Williams/Ridnour/Miller 6. Amnesty Miller 7. DRAFT Austin Rivers with the 16th pick (hopefully) 8. I win executive of the year Dragic/Ridnour Evans/Rivers/Garcia Parsons/Williams Robinson/Donuts/Patterson Camby/Dalembert BOOM, baby. BOOM.
3-Team trade: Houston gets -- Tyreke Evans, Emeka Okafor, Picks 5 & 10 NO gets -- Kyle Lowry, Luis Scola, Fransisco Garcia Pick 16 Sacramento gets -- Jarrett Jack, Kevin Martin, Dalembert Pick 14 Draft Drummond with the 5th pick. Draft Kendall Marshall with 10th Pick(I think Portland takes Lillard at 6, but if he's available at 10, we grab him) Resign Dragic(4yrs 40mil), Lee (MLE) Sign Carl Landry (3 yrs 28mil) and Von Wafer Dragic/Marshall/Fortson Lee/Evans/Wafer Parsons/Budinger/Morris Patterson/Landry/G. Smith Drummond/Okafor Per NBA trade machine, this all works out monetarily for everyone. What do y'all think?
We add a garbage contract and use 2 top 10 pick on a surefire bust (in my opinion) and a back-up for Dragic??! And we give Carl Landry almost 10 million dollars a year?! To back up Patterson?! Let's not start on Wafer. Plus there is no way in the hell the Kings would agree to this. Eww.
The drafting PG isin't as bad as it looks. Remember Dragic can play some 2, so if there is a PG that the team likes, I would not be mad at them bringing them in. We could roll at times with rookie PG, Dragic and Evans on the court and other times with either PG, Lee and Evans on the court.
trade Kyle + the #14 pick for Tyreke Evans. Draft Moultrie with the 16th pick Resign Dragic and Camby Rent Dwight Howard for Kevin Martin, Moultrie, Dalembert and Patterson. '12-'13 lineup Dragic / Boykins Evans / Budinger Parsons / Morris Scola / Motiejunas Howard / Camby
i wish** let dragic walk trade lowry and 16th for blazers 6th. trade 6th, 14th, patterson, martin, budinger, morris, future 1st round for dwight amnesty scola sign deron williams howard dontas parsons lee williams
Dalembert, Budinger (filler) & 16th ...for... Okafor, Vasquze & 10th N.O. +Clean up their books by moving Okafor to help their rebuilding +Serviceable big on a cheap one year deal +some pop (spacing for Davis) off the bench in Budinger and his cheap contract + moving down 6 spots in a deep draft (save money same type of player in deep draft) ----------- Lowry, Patterson, Morris & 14th ...for... 6th & 11th (small filler) Portland Turn 2 picks into 2 starters / the hope of Morris / moving down 3 spots in a deep draft (save money on same type of player in this deep draft) on a team that is rebuilding - nice return ------------- Martin & 11th ...for... D-Will (Filler) & 18th T-wolves Move up 7 spots and get the player they need in Martin, too ------------- 10th ...for... 21st, 22nd and a future first rounder Boston They could use some young help as a band-aid for hope of one more year. ------------- 6th & 22nd ...for... MarShon Brooks & clear T-Will trade Nets Let D-Will have his say to show him you want him to stay and pull Howard that way, too ------------- Draft BPA with the 18th & 21st -there are some soild players still on the board at this point in the draft should crack the rotation. ------------- SIGN Dragic 9.5/10.5/11.5(team option) ------------- sign other FA's as needed after draft to good contracts or let walk. (If Camby walks look at Robin Lopez RFA) ------------- (line-up shown with out drafties) Okafor l Camby/Lopez Motie l Scola Parsons l D-Will M. Brooks l Lee Dragic l Vasquze (Scola 6th man of the year) Rockets Young and soild team. 2013 draft will have a lot more bigs in it we will have our pick back to pair with Scola and/or Okafor expiring contracts to pick one up then.
If Sullinger falls all the way to 17 and turns out to be a younger, more powerful Scola then it would be one of the biggest steals in the draft.
My GM Proposal P It's highly probable based on Daryl's past performance that we get someone with the same first letter in the firstname and lastname. E.g. Marcus Morris or Pattrick Patterson. From my initial investigations this could mean Bradley Beal or John Jenkins My GM armchair scenario is: - Trade Scola, Martin and Dalembert to Orlando for Howard and Turkaglu (just because we have to) - picks were not included because we had to take Turkey. - Trade Lowry & Pick 16 to Portland for pick 6 - Draft Moultrie and Damian Lillard at 14 / 6 respectively. - Resign Dragic 4 year 30 mil (4th year team option) / Camby vet minimum for 4 years (4th year team option) / Lee 4 year 5 mil - Bring over Montie Dragic / Lillard Lee / Dragic / Bud Turkey / Parsons / Bud Montie / Patterson / Moultrie Howard / Camby / Moultrie Moultrie is developed in the D-League for a season or called up if a PF or C is injured. Montie is a stretch 4 for Howard. Patterson is the primary post option in the backup squad with Lillard the primary scorer (e.g. Harden role). Parsons can start when playing against SF scorers e.g. (Durant). Turkey is kept for 2 seasons until his contract expires, he is the cost of renting Howard. I couldn't think of a way to get Deron as the contracts were probably filling up the salary cap but if there was a way to do it it could all but guarantee that Dwight resigns. That team is pretty nasty with shooting, inside scoring and suitable defense to be title contenders.
You are absolutely and completely correct. Heck if he falls to 14th the Rockets should probably take him. But boy, Sully, Scola, PPat Motiejunas. Now that would be a logjam of momentous proportions.
I could see a deal like this. Lowry for #8 Parsons/Scola/Martin, #8 + #16 and a 2013 1st for Howard, it will take this kind of offer to get a deal done. I dont know if the salaries match.
The team does not need a bunch of rookies playing "key roles" it really works IMO. If a player has played in the nba has been success that player (if still young) has more real value than the hope of a beast or bust player ie MarShon Brooks vs Lamb/Beal. I take the known in Brooks. D-Will was under used last year when given time the numbers were there. There is not a CENTER in this draft that we should pin our hopes to, IMO. Over paying Dragic is the ONLY way we will keep him - juat make it short with a team option at the end. ALWAYS draft the BPA NEVER for need. Trade up/down to get the player of need at the right value. Make moves only to make a better one - like when one plays chess. The goal is a championship NOT a season. Just my thoughts
That would be awesome. If these guys really want to play together we can make it happen. It's just a matter of them wanting to come to Houston. We would need some other option at PF because Motiejunas won't be ready to start. Other then that, this is what it would take for us to get these two.
We can get Dwight and DWill without letting either of Lee and Dragic walk. DWill Goran Parsons Dwight Motie
Yeah, even though I see some of scola's moves and similar height i still think that sully with his strength and fundamentals for getting position inside will be better suited as an undersized C in the NBA. It would be weird seeing a second unit with a 7 foot power forward and 6'10 (in shoes) Center. I think we all know Scola is on his way out sooner rather than later and if PPat has another year like this last one, injuries or not, he could be gone too. I kind of want the rockets to get sully and turn him into a taller chuck hayes with an actual post game. He's gonna have to learn to drop that butt though.
