F..in sorry azz thread, they could win their 5th championship in 13 years and people here come up with "we had a 22 game winning streak, that's so much better". Guess what, they don't give a F about that streak we had and it broguht us nothing while they are the best team of the decade along with the Lakers.
As a life-long Rocket fan, this thread is embarrassing. I hope no sperms fans are reading it. Sure, the sperms are about to win their 5th championship in the last 13 years.....and our beloved Rockets have only won 1 playoff series and had 8 lottery seasons in that same time span.....but at least we still have the 2nd longest regular season winning streak to hold over their heads!
4 (maybe 5)>2. 33>22. And that's all the matters. If it's not the top record, it's not worth remembering. If it's not getting you rings, it's not worth praise.
Championships > regular season win streak Finals Appearance > regular season win streak Perennial playoff contention > regular season win streak Cling to 22 all you want, not one person outside the Rockets even remembers it happened.
When they brought up the Spurs streak in game 2 a couple of days ago Steve Kerr mentioned how incredible our streak was because we were missing Yao. Our Name is on that graphic and will continue to be above the Spurms. So I'd say that's cool.
Not really. That game isn't even a blip on the spurs radar. They went on the win the championship that year. That same year, the Rockets (you guessed it) lost in the 1st round of the playoffs....after winning the first 2 games of the series....on the road... We have to go all the way back to our championship years to get material for a **** the spurs thread. Back when Rocket fans invaded the Alamo Dome and cheered during the national anthem when it got to the part that said "and the Rockets red glare..."
To be fair, that series was (admittedly) fixed. But yeah, other than Olajuwon removing Robinson's manhood in 1995, we pretty much need to shut up about the Spurs. We got them when it counted, but haven't even been able to crawl our way into their path of destruction over the last 15 years.
Cool it is..... Spurs have their own records in second longest winning streak in the playoffs....and longest winning streak taken 8 regular season wins plus 12 postseason wins

cause it really happened . Did a Spurs fan rub this streak into a Rockets fans face? No. I doubt they are even thinking of the Rockets. Is it a Rockets fan who's inferiority complex, insecurity, and plain jealousy within his own mind causing this thread to exist? Yes. Maybe we're just use to not seeing the Rockets this time of year. I'm not mad at all. I think the Rockets streak was fantastic, it was a great showcase of how great Rick Adelman can integrate new talent and a new system with JVG's superstars who were just use to ball domination. The Spurs are playing for a championship, they don't care about the winning streak.
I disagree. There is a championship team EVERY YEAR. No team has done what the Rockets did for TWO DECADES. It's a lot harder to achieve a winning streak than to achieve a championship.
