It was the Dream gave us two championships and why the hell we need to compare to the likes of Bulls, Warriors, and Clippers? the Kings, T-Wolves, and Nets are all ahead of us. if he deserves credit for winning then he's responsible for lose too.
I hope everyone can watch the game b4 give ant comment. It obviously that Rox are too tired to win beat MN.
What the hell is a coaching wall? LOL I've seen it all now. A coaching wall. We better rest Rudy a little more so he can be fresh for the playoffs.
Actually he has not spent 5 minutes on the court in 2 games... last night he came in with 1 min and 30 seconds to play...
Whenever G.Rice and Mobley have more shots than Yao, Rudy has to take some of the blame. Rice is just pathetic! If you want to take someone out of the starting lineup he should be canidate #1. That is what I blame RT for is that he sticks with this guy who doesn't pass and is quite possibly the worst defender in the leauge!
The problem is a lack of defense for the 1st and 2nd quarters. We always have to come back from 10-15 point deficits. The Rockets don't play defense for the whole game.
Yeah. I noticed that too. I think he does it to gain favor from his own players. It's a method of getting your players to see you argue in their name, so that later they (the players) will be more open-mined to listen to you (the coach). That's why they call him the "player coach." If Francis trips on himself, Rudy will complain to the refs. "Hey, the floor caused a foul! Call it!"
Part of the Rockets defenseive woes is from the schemes. 1st quarter Atlanta- they leave Glenn Robinson wide open while playing a soft zone - what kind of strategy is that? Against Indiana and the Clippers, they continually allow Jermaine O Neal and Elton Brand to torch our PF with no immediate help. Every team has at least 1 weak offensive player on the floor. The key is to double the superstar and make the weak player beat you from the outside Indiana's Jamaal Tinsely couldnt hit an open jumpshot if his life depended on it. So instead of taking his man to double down, Jermain O Neal, was playing one on one until he was 5 feet away from the bucket when it's too late to help. The rule to good defensive basketball is to constantly apply pressure to the ball and make the worst player beat you. It's not Rocket science.
It's widely know that coaches have a wall too -- Pat Riley coined the phrase. After about 3- 5 years w/ the same team a coach is unable to motivate the same personel. Phil Jackson may be going through this now-- hopefully. George Karl -- etc. WALL Or he may be burned out. Steve, Cat and Mobley need direction -- right now they do as they please. They should be forced to stop dribbling so much and give Yao the damn ball. He needs 15 shots per game -- he's got the best fg pct. in the NBA for Gods sake.
