And the reason for locking this is? It's a straight up guestion. Why should it be locked. You should be banned for wasting server space with stupid replies.
The baby bulls trade rumors start looming. Did you get that from IM Jerry Krause aka JerryXYZ? I think you should include Eddy Curry as part of the deal!
Orlando wouldn't do it and Houston would be stupid to trade Cuttino for someone that isn't a big upgrade. They might throw off team chemistry without getting any better.
I doubt Orlando would even trade Miller for Mobley straight up (I wouldn't mind this deal though), so why would they trade Miller and 2 bit players in return for two bit players from Chicago? Plus what Orlando need is inside presence, this deal does not do anything except getting a bad deal in return. And if I was Chicago, I would just trade with Orlando for Miller without involving Houston and Mobley. -G;day-
there goes another TRUE PG needed kind of post...... will they ever stop? we are fine with Francis at PG.... he is passing better and better.... give him some more time, this team only started to really pass this season, u dun expect them to be good in just merely 27 games into the season......
we don't need a true point guard....they are overrated...when has a true point guard won a championship? never. ok moving on...mobley is great...solid d, a clutch scorer, gets to the line a lot, solid 3 point shooter, what else do we need. mike miller is not all of those, so we don't need him.
We have made the only needed trade this season. The only thing I want now is chemistry. (I don't mind a banger PF to replace Mo Taylor or a better backup PG than Moochie, though.)
I don't foresee any more trades for the Rockets until the offseason. We're young, and we need to figure out what we have. I will say this- if Mobley does not start playing really smart basketball, and start hitting his shots, I wouldn't be surprised if he's moved. Before, I would've been opposed to getting Miller for the SG slot because of his defensive deficiencies, but after the Posey trade, you can easily play him and Posey at the 2/3 swing slots and just put Posey on the tougher matchup. Miller offensively is what we need- great handles, size, sweet shot, good court vision, plus he's the same age as Yao. Think in the mold of a bigger, younger Brent Barry (who I could see as the other SG possibility if Mobley doesn't work out). I think our front court is more or less set for the future: Yao/Cato, Griffin/Taylor, Rice/Posey with Nachbar taking over for Rice, and Morris kept around for 3/4 depth, and maybe bring in a couple of big bodies just for insurance. Our back court may be in flux, though- Francis is a certainty, but Moochie hopefully will be moved in favor of a better defending, purer PG (maybe Maddox will become this, but I would have loved to have signed Tyronn Lue in place of Moochie a couple of years ago. Mobley needs to start hitting his shots within the offense, especially his 3s-he's getting the looks, but I just can't figure out why he's shooting below 30% beyond the arc.
This trade would never happen, but Mike Miller is a good player. He can shoot the ball and is great with Grant Hill and Tracy McGrady. They don't even have a starting point guard. Their shortest starter is 6'8". But Cuttino Mobley is not leaving Houston anytime.
