Oh, also, sorry for the double post, but has anyone heard anything about aftershows? I know Afrojack is doing Stereo Live Saturday night, though I probably won't bother with that one. I also heard that Portugal. the Man is playing Fitz on Saturday night but i have found absolutely NOTHING about it other than a listing on their website. Can't find prices or whose playing with them or anything.

they have it listed on here- http://www.portugaltheman.com/tour-dates but theres no other info about it, and that "buy tickets" link doesnt really give much information either. I don't know why this hasn't been formally announced yet (if its happening), the festival is in 3 days.

You'll be ok, as long as you're not blatantly obvious about it. These security guards are paid to look the other way.
believe me, you won't get busted. if you get busted, will they also get the 30 or 40 people around you with joints/pipes? some security guard last year told a hippie to "put it up" when he pulled out a water bong, and that's only because the dude was flaunting it like an *******. i mean look at the headliners this year, it's going to be even more ridiculous.
so tomorrow night's show at fitzgeralds is password protected (lol) - i assume you can get in no matter what with a wristband (official FPSF after party)? i also assume if they only had a set # of tickets to sell to people without wristbands, it's probably "sold out" by now. hope it's really hot at the festival and most people pass out around 9. either way i'm sure it won't be too hard to score a free wristband after tomorrow's shows.
Very very crowded this year. Don't think they expected it at all. Getting around the first day was horrible because they had this big jeep advertisement thing stretched out. Also, other years you could walk up not long before the artist and have a decent spot, this year you had to wait long before to have a good spot. If you walked up to Snoop and Willie around the time they started, you wouldn't have been able to see them. So that made it less enjoyable in a way, but at the same time I'm happy its so successful. The acts were good this year (I saw less than in past years because of how crowded it was and the way it was scheduled, though). Flaming Lips were fun as always, Diplo was really awesome, and the Descendents were as great as I hoped they'd be. Pretty Lights light show was really really cool. Overall it was fun. I think I enjoyed the past two years more (didn't go the very first year), but still fun and I'll still go next year (you can't pass up the deal they give you on the blind presale tickets. 20-30 bucks for a two day festival that books acts of that size is crazy) but they really need to move to a bigger place or start capping attendance. It'd also help a lot to move it maybe a month ahead (to late april/early may) but eh.
I didn't go, but I really like the idea of it at Tinsley Park, it's just a nice backdrop visual, and I like how I think this can be a "Houston thing," because just down the bayou is where Houston was founded. I can find me some unshaven armpit, pot smoking, funyun eating chicks to take.
I like Tinsley Park a lot, but to keep it they need to use more of it and/or cap the attendance. And no huge advertisements taking up a huge amount of room. Also more bathrooms. Please more bathrooms.
I almost went. Was going to go for primus and snoop, but, it just didnt work out. Anyone go and see these two?
