Would Oklahoma City break up their big 3 if they lose in the WCF?

Being a jumpshooting team has gotten them somewhat far (both this year, and in years past), but should OKC think about trading away one of the three star players they have, for a better offensive presence down low?

I think Westbrook for Bynum could be had. Helps both teams. Lakers get a good PG and the thunder get a low-post presence.

Yup, I remember someone making one about the Heat, and then CH making one.

But it IS a serious question though. Trading for a legit low post presence for the Thunder is a good idea, but the system / successes that have gotten them far in postseasons may have to be scrapped.

Their big 3 are 23 and under, so you have to expect their personality flaws to detract from their game a bit. Ie, Durant too timid, Westbrook too rash, Harden too hyper... but in the end, they aren't the ones bringing the team down. It's the lack of a big man with a jumper, or any offensive skills whatsoever. Westbrook has game changing ability, so even though he doesn't make great decisions all the time and tries to do too much, he's worth the developmental wait. He's just an easy scapegoat because of Brooks fairly one dimensional offense.

They should focus on shifting time away from defensively strong, offensively inept big men to tall guys who can spread the floor like Ryan Anderson. Makes the big 3 that much more dangerous with their ability to penetrate, and Brooks has more options on offense. One thing is for sure - the Thunder will have to choose between Ibaka and Perkins this offseason as their defensive specialist.

They should sign KG if possible.

They are in cap hell. Don't look for them to be making no free-agent signings.

The thought of Westbrook and Kobe on the same team makes Mike Brown cry.

    No.

The Thunder are a great team who can compete for titles for years and years. Their biggest problem is they've run into a rare team that's playing better basketball than anyone has in a very long time.

They wouldn't do that. Westbrook and Kobe will work out well. But Perkins off the bench is a big waste of the money.

Not gonna trade anyone yet... i think they will eventually trade ibaka before he hits FA and keep theyre big3 in tact... maybe they could sign a kaman, garnett or hawes to MLE? Probably not enough money to sign those players... they could possibly trade both perkins and ibaka for a more rounded or offensive front court...

Truth is they gor toooo good of a thing to start dismantleing it...

Another thing: kobe and westbrook? No one will ever pass the ball... it will be a dribble and shiot backcourt from hell... whi neess an assist tho right?
