Snakebit. Absolutely unbelievable. Routine play to end inning botched by Lowrie, then a bloop off the end of the bat drops into shallow center to (likely) end the game. Unreal.

 

more terrible defense = impending loss

lowrie has been good...but that was all on him. Too far for a flip (in terms of what a 2B would expect), wouldn't have gotten the runner anyway, and had a better shot at 1st.

 

Ugh. Lowrie had a bone headed play when I went to the Rangers game too. Got caught in between whether to go to 2nd or first and tried to out run the guy to 2nd base instead of throwing to first.....which was followed by the inside the park HR.
