Dragic shot 34% from 3 this season. Maybe he shot 40% as a starter.

Remember, it's hard to shoot when you're afraid you might upset your star player.

By the way, the only starting pg who shot over 40% was Steph Curry (actually should play the 2), Kyrie was at .399.

Basically, you're insinuating that Jeremy to be a top 20 3 pt. shooter in his pseudo 2nd year and top 2 as a pg in the whole NBA. He'll eventually be close to 40% but it may take a few years. 37% would be close to top50 in the league.

Stopped reading after, " is a restricted free agent this summer, which means that he can pretty much sign with whoever he wants."

Rajon Rondo is 10M, Dragic worth 11M. LOL.

I didn't say anything about how good of a shooter he is (though he isn't a very good 3pt shooter), but rather that he didn't show improvement in his shooting during the season, which he did not.

I'm actually very confused by your post, since we are talking about 32% 3-pt shooting, not anywhere close to 40%.

You should have kept reading. There is an arbitration hearing that will decide if the Knicks will have Bird rights over Lin. If they do not, they can only sign Lin the MLE, anything over and they can't match.

20/10 point guard? When? This guy can be easily shut down. Too bad he didn't play in playoffs, because he would be totally exposed. Very predictable. He is the most turnover prone player in the NBA(he was averaging 6 a game when he was a starter) and one of the worst decision maker. There is no way you can be contender, if Lin is your starting PG.

What does that have to do with shooting percentage?

I do know that he is at most average player. I didn't even mention that I don't think there is point guard in NBA who can't beat him off the dribble. Meanwhile he can't beat anyone off the dribble without good screen.

Lin deserve more than 5M, he puts audience in the seat. More of a concern is his health can he stay healthy?

Dragic isn't worth 11M (per year). Maybe 7.5.

Lin, as a player, is worth 5,000,000 per year. 20/10? Not with Carmelo healthy and holding the ball as if his life depended on it.

Lin needs a D'Antoni-ish coach. "Here's the ball. What play do you run? Just play."

Lin's value in marketing, however, is huge. That raises the 5 million to....well, more. He had one of the highest-selling jerseys last year. So, he'll get some coin. MSG has no problem putting butts in the seats but Lin doesn't hurt.

So in 21 minutes, you went from suggesting he'd be a 20/10 guy to a solid starter and top 15 PG?

You are exaggerating. He doesn't average that many turnovers.

Raymond Felton was averaging 17/9 for whole season 2 years ago with Knicks. I guess he was superstar back then.
