I have heard that Madden 2003 is the best football game for ps2. What do you all think? How about favorite basketball game?
Vice city is very good as is Madden but the best basketball game is NBA2K3. Some will say Live is better but it's definitly not. Player controll is much poorer but both are very realistic. In fact maybe too realistic. Soon you'll be having to run plays to get players open for jumpers.
NBA Live 2003 is the game I play the most, so I guess that is my favorite. I play online all the time, but never against anyone who playes with the Rockets because I refuse to play and beat my favorite team as I play with my favorite team, the Rockets of course.
I really enjoy NCAA Football 2003. I think it has everything a hard core college football fan could want, except for every schools mascot and fight song. Also the GTA series is nice. Oh but if you want a game that blows your mind away get silent scope. Its all that and a bag of chips
Madden Year 6 in my Franchise. Played every game and every season except for Year 1 I simmed. I have the Bengals on the verge of a superbowl 6-0 so far. I play this game alot. Vice City is also a very fun game
OMG. It finally happened. DaDakota replied and forgot to type "DaDakota" after his post. Should be part of SI's weekly Sign of the Apocalypse tidbits.
Vice City is awesome. I'm also a BIG fan of Medal Of honor when I'm not playing Madden or NBA live. I'm still jonesin for a new Grand Turismo....
I got Madden 2003 for christmas today and it is awesome, i play nba live 2003 a lot too. I am thinking my fav game is madden... for now
By far. Gameday is second rate compared to the quality and graphics on Madden. I'm just sick to death of the friggin music on the game...
Earl... Dang it.... Dang edit function disabled. Grumble..grumble..grumble. DaDakota - there you happy?
NCAA 2003 is damn good. It pays very close attention to details. Corso, Herbstreit and Fowler never stop talking. This game is awesome for diehards, like IVFL suggested. I recently got NBA Live 2002 and Simpsons Road Rage for $20 each. Both solid games, but NCAA takes the cake.
I'm an RPG nut, so most of my favorites are RPG's. I really liked FFX, but it beginning to become old. Kingdom Hearts was a pretty fun game. I'm playing Summoner 2 right now and its pretty cool. That's all I can thing of in this genre at 1:00 in the morning. For other genres, NBA2K3 is my favorite sports game, GTAVC, although I haven't even played it yet, is already one of my favorites. (Don't know how that works.) I heard the new MK game is pretty good, the new DBZ game is tempting, and Dead to Rights looks pretty cool. Man, too many games I need to play but don't have time for.
I LOVED thats game. It was very easy ti finish (I finisged it in two sittings) but it was a kick ass game. I played it through about 5 times before I got a refund because it stopped working. I couldnt pick an overall best game. I would list these games though in no order: Madden 2003: I may never by another NFL game for the PS2....who the hell am I kidding! Metal Gear Solid 2: An amazing game....every bit as good as I hoped it would be. Devil May Cry: Incredible game. Cant wait for the second version that is released soon. WWF Smackdown, Just Bring It: It brought the phrase "The peoples dog" into being when I played my cousin. It fun making a wrestler and setting up his intro and stuff. Red Faction: Being able to blow a hole in a wall was great fun. But it was a fantastic game without that added bonus. Red Faction 2: Just got this game and the improvment is big. Graphics are heaps better. As for the dissapointments.... Any NBA Live game: They just suck....its as simple as that. Fifa Soccer Games: The only PS1 versions were fun...now these games have slow boring gameplay (Very realistic!) and are not great when it comes to editing rosters and stuff like that. Madden 2001: Im fairly sure this was the first Madden game on PS2 and while it was great as far as graphics go...it was a flop in many other areas. Madden 2003 kills this old version.
