I think Cuttino Mobley is a better offensive weapon then people give him credit for.

what does being drafted in the 2nd round have to do with not being elite? there have been tons of players who were drafted in the lottery who turned out to not be elite.

    Second Rounder best surprise....JOHN STOCKTON!!!

All time leader in NBA in assists and steals!!!

    That is a great story.

He is forty years old now.

And we are playing him today! Steve Francis vs. John Stockton...what a matchup!

There are only so many John Stockton's who are going to ever be in the NBA, also there are only so many guards, like Stockton, who where fortunate to enough have a 6'9" specimen of a pf to pass off to like Karl Malone. With a pf like that to pass to, a whole lot of PGs could get massive amounts of assists.

    fact police:

    pgabriel,

Cuttino never backed up Maloney; Price/Drew did. Cat originally backed up Dickerson, then got moved to starting PG in game 7, and Matt pretty much never played again.

    SLA

John Stockton was not a second rounder. Not even close. He was the 2nd PG taken.

You are thinking of Jeff Hornachek. I can understand the confusion, since all white guys look alike.

He's in the upper tier, but not in the top 10.

Well, there were more than 10. I just named the obvious 10 so people wont complain and make stupid arguments like "he's better than so and so..."

Actually, Mobley is probably in the same group as about 5 other guys between 15-20.

Frankly, although I think Cat's a good player, Id rather have Michael Redd - an outstanding SG who's always been a backup but can light it up without forcing bad shots. I think he's scoring over 15 ppg while shooting around 47%. That's oustanding production.

For a more athletic SG who should be dominate in the future - Jason Richardson.

Yeah, I see him around there. Redd is pretty dominant, it is surprising that the Bucks are this bad. I'm not surprised that George Karl let this guy sit on the bench for most of his first 2 years (the only reason he got time last year when Ray got hurt). He's just like Riley, they both let good players just sit there and rot.

I'm pretty sure Redd was a late second rounder too....go figure.

Is it just me but does Cat remind you of John Starks? Cat may be a bit better driving to the basket and Starks may be a little more aggressive defensively but streaky outside shooting all the same. But hopefully Cat won't suffer the same fate in the Finals!

Sometimes Cat is great, but he reminds me a little of Mo Pete on my Raptor team. Sometimes he can light it up, sometimes he can't. He moves well without the ball, but isn't as good at creating his own shot.

I didn't follow all the Rox games last season--how good was he when Francis was out?

Cuttino Mobely kicks ass guys. So some games he missed quite a few shots-everybody does in the NBA! Like others have said he's starting to pass more this season and he he plays a big part lots of times in Rockets runs. He's a great shooting guard who plays key roles on our team, leave the stud alone.

Man Ima tell yall alot of people would love to have Cuttino Mobley on their team and would have a Coach that would know how to run plays to use him as a weapon.
They get mad when he shoots alot of shots and make them but don't get mad at other for not scoring enuff.
    Yao sometimes don't score nothin.
Who else gonna bring offense you gotta score to win?
Steve=Yes,sometimes 18 points sometimes 27 whatever it may be you still know he is gonna give you offense.
Yao Ming=Maybe, sometimes he may give you 16 points a night and sometimes maybe 30 but more times then not he is gonna score low so far until he does start to score more on a consistant basis and over 20 points a game then we need other scorers.
Mo Taylor=No,right now he has not been much of an offensive factor but he might recover to old form sooner or later.
Eddie Griffin=Maybe,he does most of his scoring from 3 point land.

Who else is left but Cuttino?

Glen Rice=does'nt score enuff and is basically a more expensive Walt Williams.

Steve Francis- main option who always scores at least 15.
Cuttino Mobley- only shoots when has good rythym and is doing good.
Yao Ming- scores more and improves every game and at least 10 points now. double doubles.
James Posey- could score a lot if he was a starter and played more than 10 minutes.
Glen Rice- relies on 3's and lucky shots in the post. Not enough scoring. Too old.
    Eddie Griffin- 3's...
Mo Taylor- still not at his best.
Moochie- can shoot but I'd rather have him move the ball.
    Cato- ALLEYOOP!!! The Dunk Master.
Joaquin Hawkins- can shoot if open.
    Bostjan Nachbar- Unknown.
Terence Morris- keep him on the bench. can shoot if left open.

    SO, we need Cuttino Mobley.
