Thanks for sharing that Christmas story. A few months ago...I had a really bad smell like something died in my house too. I looked everywhere....under the house, up in the attick, on the roof, in the vents, under and behind the range/washer/dryer, etc. . I couldn't find any dead animal. Finally, I decide to look under the refrigerator and in the pan was some kind of massive grossness growing on spoiled milk mixed with water. Life may have started there ;) . It smelled exactly like a dead animal. So, it turns out I bought a gallon of milk with a very tiny hole in the bottom of it. The milk...drop by drop...leaked into the refrigerator pan. Thing is...there was no sign of milk spillage anywhere inside the refrigerator. Problem solved. It took a little while to figure that one out because the smell was bad all over. I didn't take pictures and document my troubles, though  . Should have...you would have loved to see my biological cesspool. It was like froth on a cappucino times twenty .

Good job, Sherlock! Merry X-mas. I guess you didn't have any creatures stirring on the night before...smelling maybe.
