    i bet that after yao ming gets the rookie season under his belt he turns strait to MVP status i bet anyone here. what are everybodys predictions for the rockets with in 5 years??


    2002-03 playoff birth (semi finals elimination)
    2003-04 west finals elimination
    2004-05 NBA CHAMPS, YAO earns mvp award
    2005-06 REPEAT HOW SWEET IT IS!
    2006-07 rockets turn the franchise to a DYNASTY
    oh and yes they win it all again!

    and if anyone here think im on a dreaming trip right now im not because if anyoen here cant see it i see something better here than mikes chicago bulls

    exactly what is "strait MVP status"? You think the guy will win MVP next year? Be in the top 3 for voting? How can you make bets when your groundwork is so unclear?

    I think you gotta acknowlegde Francis/Cat's/EG's development and contributions that would be absolute necessary if this team were to become a dynasty.

    I love yao, but i hate how people are "yao" fans primarily and "rocket" fans secondarily.

    If the Rockets win and Yao only scores 5 points, they are still happy.


    The way you spot a Yao only fan:

    If the Rockets win and Yao only scores 5 points, they are disapointed.

    Heh. Some of them are even worse than that. If the Rockets LOSE and Yao scores 25 points, they're VERY HAPPY.

    Hey, dude, what do you think about a guy with the following reactions?

    The Rockets win and Yao only scores 5 points: disapointed.
    The Rockets loss and Yao scores 30 points: disapointed.

    How you define this group? According to my observation, they do exist.

    Then everyone is happy.

    Actually if Yao does do really well and the Rockets lose, Im still somewhat happy. It soothes the loss knowing that our star Rookie is improving and will lead us to better places in the future.

    However, there are certain people who would be disappointed if Yao does not do well regardless if the Rockets won or loss. :mad:

    Haha, you are so critical!!
    anyway, I think it will be a panacea if Yao can score 25 points and Rox win the game. But perhaps we are going see the performance like that in the following several seasons. There is always nothing wrong for hoping, right?:)
