Somebody solo cleared it yesterday. Cheesing the wizard energy armor and hydra. He ran with zero vitality and almost all intelligence.
I've now got a 34 Wizard 31 Barbarian 27 Witch Doctor 26 Demon Hunter 23 Monk I didn't particularly like either of the Dex characters until I got to around level 20 or so. They seem to benefit even more from their higher-level abilities than the other characters. From what little I've played of Nightmare with my Wizard, it's a lot more enjoyable so far. Actually managed to die a few times on rare/champion packs. It feels about like one of the Blizzard reps said -- that in some ways the game doesn't really start until Nightmare. I'm still enjoying playing through with everybody. I'm sure if I had focused on just one character I'd be in Hell by now, but I like the equipment-sharing capability of doing it this way.
Four days, huh? Sounds about right. I know there were a lot of bets and guesses as to how long it would take for the first person to do it. I had assumed there would be someone with absolutely no life who would find a way to cheese the game beat it in under a week. And there it is.
Torchlight got boring quick because it was the same levels over and over and over. But then Torchlight was basically a Diablo clone, so that's to be expected. I don't know - I haven't played any Diablo in years, but D3 is still a fairly fun game to waste some time with.
I think the fight difficulty differs quite a bit depend on your class and how well you know the fight mechanic. I know in Normal, my friends had difficulty and dying at Belial where my HP didn't even go below 95%. Of course, that confidence quickly went away when I had my first 2 death at Azmodan when others told me it's laughably easy Level 59 and cleared Hell A3 before bed. Repair bill is starting to rack up. One of the A3 elite packs (invul minions + soul lashers = trollolol), we pretty much graveyard zerged them down with about 15-20 death each. Fun times all around!
Great stuff! I'm a lvl 50 monk and I just destroyed azmodan in nightmare. He's annoying but not nearly as annoying as belial's BS exploding green circles. All my other buddies die against belial but I'll just know when to strike. Soul lashers and soul rippers are the absolute worst. I can only imagine how bad it's gonna be in hell.
http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/343461/20120521/diablo-3-release-date-2012-beta-auction.htm Did you play in public games?
Wow. Yes, I played my first public game last night. My stuff is getting restored but, knowing blizzard, that will probably take a couple of weeks.
How do you people get money? Seems hard to come by in this game because the equipment are worthless if they are not magical or rare. Do you sell your magical equipment or salvage them?
guess I won't be in public games for a while, currently going solo and have a few friends who are getting the game, we will play together.
Spend an hour or so getting gold then go into auction house and replace anything you possibly had with something better for about 40K. The auction house is so broken it makes going after loot (the entire game) completely pointless, lol. My level 36 monk does over 1,000dps and I still need to replace a lot of his gear.
So I started my Barb on Nightmare and I'm hetting kinda ticked off. I don't know if theh do it to encourage team play or what, but I am constantly running in to specials who are vampiric, shielded, illusionists, basically anything that renders melee worthless. Guess I have to wait for a friend to roll up a sorceress, since God forbid I should be able to kill some demon hordes by myself.
I don't have issues with any of that stuff. Granted, my character isn't a barb -- but I think your gear may have something to do with it.
so in nightmare the more people you have in your group the harder the mobs get right? but of course you have more people that in turn makes it easier.
More people generally is a good thing. Just hope to god you don't have someone worthless on your team who dies often and you're too busy fighting ramped up enemies.
most of the people are worthless, going into inferno, you see scrubs with 15k or so hp and you just want to vote kick them
