Seems like a rather miniscule thing to be so dedicated to. If you like baseball, just watch. Don't sacrifice enjoyment over something that happened 18 years ago that ultimately had no effect on your personal life. My .02 anyway.
If the players strike in the off-season, hey, I have no problem with that. When the 1994 strike occurred, it was in the season's home stretch with the Astros hot in the National League race. That's why I was so furious. Along with a lot of other fans, they broke my heart. Being a Scorpio, I don't forgive easily.
