For all you hip/hop people reading this - Here's my picks.

    Eminem - Eminem Show,

Not as good as his previous releases, but still by far the standard in the industry. It should sweep pretty much any Hip Hop awards.

    Nelly - Nellyville,

as with Eminem, Nellyville in my opinion wasn't near as good as Country Grammar, But still the 2nd most popular album in hip hop. Probably the runner up to Eminem in almost everything.

Ludacris - Word of Mouf - underrated album, Its funny and vulgar, and thats why we love it.

8 Mile sountrack- Eminem and various. - includes Song of the Year - "Lose Yourself" and cuts from Nas, Jay-Z, 50 cent and more.

Nas - God's son - Classic Nas, great beats

Xzibit - Man vs. Machine - not great, but it's still a good one.

Better Dayz - 2pac - Still going, its a damn good.

Nappy Roots - Watermelon, Chicken, and Gritz, - really a suprise hit, no one expected this kentucky group to go Platinum.

    Sleepers -
    Ghetto Heisman - WC
Paid Tha Cost - Snoop Dogg
    Swizz Beatz Presents G.H.E.T.T.O. Stories

    Oh, and Creed rules.

    :) :)

    Freak,

I was wondering about the Hives and White Stripes, but figured they were 2002 because I saw them on some Amazon lists for 2002. I think it is because they released re-mastered versions of those albums, but I'm not sure.

BTW - I'm listening to your Andrew, right now, specifically, "Ready to Die".;)

Jeff, I've heard a lot of people say that this CD is horrible, especially in comparison to "Supernatural." While it would be almost impossible to match the greatness of "Supernatural," many people say that Santana sounds like a guest on his own CD on "Shaman." While there were plenty of guests on his last CD, they sounded natural and fit the flow of his CD, but people say that they are simply tring to "re-invent the wheel" with all of the guests on this CD. Several people have even said that the instrumentals arent even up to Santana's normal standard. Anyways, I was just wanting your opinion.

Stylez- A Gangster and a Gentleman
    Nas- The Lost Tapes
    Talib Kweli- Quality
    Floetry- Floetic
    Scarface- The Fix

    Honorable mention:
Nas- God's Son, His lyrics were on point as usual but I think he let Salaam Remi do too many beats for him. He should've got with Dj Premier for a few tracks in my opinion.

Swiss Beatz- G.H.E.T.T.O Stories, it was much better than I expected.

    Worst Album:
Jay-Z- The Blueprint 2: The Gift and the Curse. I think it was Jay's worst album ever. It wasnt very original either. Horrible album by Jay-z standards.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony - Thug World Order

Their best CD in many years. When all is said and done, I think it might even be my favorite of theirs.

The only CD's I bought this year were "Room for Squares" by John Mayer and "One by One" by Foo Fighters and I love them both to death.
