Not necessarily now, but the Spurs need to start preparing the way for Duncan's and Ginobili's retirement. Right now they have no up and coming young talent that even remotely will replace either one of them. The best and easiest way to gain high upside youth is to trade one of the two soon while they still have enough value to get a good return. Duncan is too entrenched in the team's identity, so Ginobili becomes the obvious choice. A 2nd round failure here could serve as the catalyst.
They have Parker & Manu covered With Patti Mills, Cory Joseph, Daniel Green & Gary Neal. Tiago Splitter will be the 5 of the near future & DeJaun Blair will be their pf. They need a back-up sf & some back-up height for the 4 & 5. Their scouting department is the best in the NBA. They don't need to break up the big 3. The chemistry is still there & they've been playing the same system for at least 15 years.
If they didn't do it after going out in the 1st round last year, not sure why they'd do it this time. But then again this isn't meant to be a serious thread.
This is an awful thread. It's like asking if the Rockets get both Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard on the roster, should we sign Carl Landry?
Carl Herrera - I am going to assume that the sarcasm is dripping from the start of this thread. And big guy I am running with that.
why should they wait/? they should appeal to the nba for a duncan and ginobili for dwight howard trade before the wcf theyre in big trouble
Up 3-0, they need to go 0-4 to lose the series. So if they don't win the series, such a horrible choke job means they must break up the team
so do you think the lakers should trade kobe now? they need to start preparing the way for kobe's retirement.
