It's nice to see Jackie Chan do this, since he's done almost every kind action movie or martial arts film a star can do of his caliber and he's nearly 60.

Action (and martial arts) scripts nowadays are kind of lame . He's abilities go beyond that of an average action/martial art star (who are typically limited in the roles they can do, if you aren't in-thing, then it's pretty much straight to video/DVD).

If he does retire from doing stunts it is well deserved.

On a related note Jet Li is also phasing out doing action movies. Jet Li is a really good actor and for those who want to see what Jet Li's next acting phase is going to be like should check out "Ocean Heaven". A very moving movie with no martial arts at all.

My favorite is Project A. A masterpiece of the combination of martial arts and physical comedy.

I love Project A, but my favorite is actually Project A 2. All Jackie Chan movies are really best if watch with subtitles instead of the horrible dubbed versions. The humor comes out way more, and the level of cheesiness greatly decreases that way.

Rumble In The Bronx is the only Jackie Chan movie where the English Dub surpass the English Subtitles...

That's because most of it was shot in English.

I think most of his movies were like that after Rumble In The Bronx hit the states.. I remember Super Cop/Operation Condor/First Strike all had Jackie's voice spoken in English, but the American version was different from the ones released in Hong Kong.. The HK version of Rumble In The Bronx was a lot longer than the one released in the states, but I prefer the Theatrical Cut only because Jackie Chan says the word, 'Uncle, and 'Video Game.' Oh and the words of wisdom before and after he fights the punks at their headquarters is hilarious...

A lot of JC movies are awesome, but the very best in my opinion has always been Dragon Fist. It is completely different from any of his other movies, there is not one bit of comedy in it at all, it is grim and filled with angst and tip-top JC badassery. Just the most awesome kung fu movie, I know it is hard to find in any kind of watchable form, but if you can find it, it is the best.

Jackie Chan is my hero. There will never be another martial artist with his charisma and on-screen presence. This is a sad day in history.
