Look all you blind bastards, just accept it, this team is weak, with a lot of talent, they just suck.

Jazz a contender? That's like saying Barbara Walter is the Miss Universe candidate.

the rockets made a big mistake, they shouldn't trade off Kenny thomas. KT is a better defender. We need you back.

We lose all the close games because we do not EXECUTE our offense at the end. We break down into Francis and Mobley doing their one on 5 deal.

    And it NEVER FRICKING works.

    This team is very frustrating.

And don't give me the "We are young" crap....Kirlenko is Young, Harpring is young....but they play SMART basketball.

Francis, Norris and Mobley have the combined IQ of a rotting turnip.

Actually, DaDakota, while I would pretty much agree with that, it did seem that tonight they at least tried to work out of Yao in the post a little more late in the fourth.

But generally speaking, you're right on the money about what happens to us in the fourth.

    Rokkit,

The only time we execute late in the fourth quarter is after a timeout, and Rudy has settled them down for a play.

Like the nice wrap around pass to Ming from Francis....however, then Steve decides to beat the triple team and gets a jump ball with Harpring.

Face it, the Rockets have lost to the Clippers, the Jazz, the Hornets, the Blazers & the Suns.....all VERY winnable games against arguably inferior opponents.

The Rocks are a dow jones team....they don't play hard until the 4th quarter, and against smart teams, it is too late.

This team needs a swift kick in the A$$.

Yeah, but they didn't have the ball in their hands having to make crucial split-second decisions down the stretch. That's why the Jazz have the geezers.

Mind you, I'm not defending the stupid play of our guards. We looked bad and we made mistakes that cost us the game. But, put Francis or Mobley on a team loaded with veterans and they'd look as "smart" as Harpring and Ivan Drago.

Harpring got lucky with that jump ball. He just stuck his hand in there and happened to get enough basketball to slow Steve. Don't give me this triple team crap...Steve had a wide open lane to the basket, and was either going to get a bucket, a foul or both. Harpring just happened to get his hand on the ball.

Outside of this, do you have any other specific instances of our offense not executing well down the stretch? I can't think of any. I was actually pretty impressed with how our offense played in the 4th quarter. They were getting open shots, and for the most part they were hitting them (FTs too). It was our defense that wasn't worth a damn. I swear, it seemed as if the Jazz scored on EVERY possession within the last 10 minutes of the game or so.

    Jeff,

I disagree, our guards would still look stupid because they try to do too much.

Look at the Jazz, they are a prime example of smart basketball.

All the Rocks have to do is run their offense, but NOOOOOOO, they go one on 5...not once, not twice, not three times, but EVERY FRICKEN time late in a close game.

I have been waiting for 4 years for Francis to get it.....it ain't happening......how long does it take to see that the same ole..same ole....STILL DOESN"T WORK !!!!!!!

This team could be so good, if they had smart savvy players....too bad our leader has the basketball IQ of a festering anal wart.

    :(

Teams that suck have a winning record in a tough conference?

I guess someone forgot to tell that to the Lakers last year when they lost back to back to Boston and Chicago, huh?

Panda, a contender for the playoff spot. Just look at the record. It is still a neck to neck race. The Jass are still capable of pulling a better record than the Rockets by the end of the season. In case you don't know, the Jass are the best FG%. The Rockets can still lose their spot for playoff. It is not a cakewalk. Mark my word, Panda.

even Malone backs down from Sloan out of fear.

Agree. But they executed the offense well. And SF was doing what a PG supposed to do. The blame rather was on the coaching staff. Bad timing in adjusting the defense and obliviously give Moochie too many minutes in the crunch time. But plz, Rudy the crack head, play Boki if you could give 20+ minutes to Moochie.

Well I didn't see the game (dish network sucks), but I can look at the stats and see what happened. KM went crazy in the low post, and bullied his way around, I bet. I've said all along that the Rockets are too soft. They need a bruiser. A big huge mean player who can watch YM's back, and dish a little pain on the opposing team.

As I sign off with the images of a "rotting turnip" and "festering anal wart" (courtesy of DaDakota) in my mind, I would just like to say that as disappointed as I am, I would like to remind all that it is "just a game." We lost (to the hated Jazz)! But look at the bright side, there is nobody in the league that we despise any more, so it can't get any worse. I intend to have a Merry Christmas anyway. You to! And to all a good night. (I sure hope Rudy punched out Jerry Sloan on the way to the bus!):)

    Solid.

    Metaphorically speaking of course.

    :)

Merry Christmas to you and to everyone else on the BBS.

Agree, but who will be this big huge mean bruiser and how can we get him?
