Shaq: We were rusty, that's why they (Rockets) beat us

Except he said my favorite line ever:

I was in a suite at the Summit with the TV on when he said that....I will never forget it.

 

This further shows the NBA crew in TNT sucks. Does any one see the prediction part of the show? Barkley said Lakers would win because of the size, and Smith said the same stupid thing after so many ifs. I do not know what they have said after the game, they were still talking the theory that size matters. It is just embarrassing for a national TV show.

 

I think that was more of him trying to bait Kenny into an argument. It doesn't work well with Shaq because it doesn't seem like he is willing to make a fool of himself, unlike the rest of the crew.

Shaq needs to go. I am all for C. Webb!

I like how Kenny answered though, "i'll let the sweep speak for itself." Something like that.

Barkley should have more beef cause his teams lost in 7. But he doesn't talk about cause he always says the better team wins.

Yeah but he was joking. Everyone knows he was dominated by Hakeem. He, you, anyone who saw the series saw the best center of that time was Hakeem Olajuwon by a mile when he played Shaq, Ewing, and David Robinson. and it was not close when they played each other either. Hakeem destroyed them in embarrassing fashion.

 

Its not a debate. Its history. Hakeem over all centers of the 90's was proven thoroughly.

 

Basically Shaq is just saying the Rockets won cause they were better prepared.

Who cares anyway, Shaq and Hakeem are both legends no point Shaq whining about old losses.

17 days off? i dont think its even possible scheduling wise to have that many days off its like if the nba adopted a first round bye system and the team with a bye waited around while their opponent went 7 games.

absurd i wish kenny just put shaq in his place but seems like a lot of the following shows have.

some places are great off court personalities but shaq is terrible on the show because everything has to be about him and he cant handle making fun of himself either.

I agree with other posts here - Bob Costas was really a tool when it came to giving the Rockets their due.
