If you could be a really good amateur at anything...

Dream scenario would be as an auteur writing and directing them. It would demand full-time involvement at some time, but to keep up with the OP's idea you can definitely make a short on the side, there also have been thousands of people who have written scripts on their free time just for the love of it, some of them going on and putting all their resources in a project, albeit probably bombing in the process.

Not keeping on the OP's course, my most far-fetched dream would be being a poet or at least a novelist, although the latter would fall below my other mentions. By the way, English is my second language in case I have left evidence of how much of a stretch this is.

It's depressing that I didn't take any of these interests at an early age. -Sight.

I stayed the course doing what I do best professionally, and consoled myself by picking up the guitar again.

Do you realize that it gets exponentially less funny and more annoying each time you repeat that?

 

Of the ones mentioned, one of martial arts, basketball and piano. Really hard to decide which... Maybe piano, since that I will able to enjoy for the rest of my life.

Anyone ever wanted to be an amateur astronomer? I have not particularly even though I'm on a path to be a professional one. :grin:
