Houston trades: PG Moochie Norris (5.5 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 2.6 apg in 20.5 minutes)
PF Maurice Taylor (6.3 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 0.9 apg in 18.2 minutes)
Houston receives: PF Jerome Williams (9.4 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.2 apg in 30.7 minutes)
PF Hakeem Olajuwon (9.4 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.2 apg in 30.7 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -2.4 ppg, +1.6 rpg, and -2.3 apg.

Toronto trades: PF Jerome Williams (9.4 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.2 apg in 30.7 minutes)
PF Hakeem Olajuwon (9.4 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.2 apg in 30.7 minutes)
Toronto receives: PG Moochie Norris (5.5 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 2.6 apg in 26 games)
PF Maurice Taylor (6.3 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 0.9 apg in 16 games)
Change in team outlook: +2.4 ppg, -1.6 rpg, and +2.3 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Houston and Toronto being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Houston and Toronto had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Did not add ... deal may involve Toronto pick up Hakeem's sal. as official retire imminent. Cap room plus rebounding.

Nope. We need a backup point guard and toronto hates big salaries.

    See Tracy McGrady, etc.

Toronto doesn't hate big salaries. They gave Vince the MAX, Antonio Davis the MAX (or close to it), Alvin Williams got a HUGE deal, Jerome Williams got a huge deal.

They're close to the luxury tax, and they get MURDERED financially on that trade. Mo's contract has 4 more years, and Mooch's 5 more I think. Hakeem's runs out next year, an they're not paying for it.

I would like to have Jerome Williams for MoT though. They're contracts are quite similar. But no one is going to take the chance on Mo's contract because he STILL hasn't recovered. But then again, Jerome Williams has been chronically injured for 2 years. I remember him whining about this elbow since his Detroit days even.

What is the use of this trade? Hakeem has retired and even if he came back, he wouldn't have much of a role on this team except as an assistant coach. This thread needs to be locked.

I would hold off on the trade MoT talk right now. His outside shot has shown signs of returning the last couple of games.

Why would we trade our only proven backup PF and our only proven backup PG for essentially nothing?

T Mac?? Why would Magic trade away a franchise?? He is the hype of the team. Y'all people need to be a little realistic.
