After busting my ass trying to keep my lawn green last summer, I don't want to go through it again this summer. This year I want to splurge and get an automatic sprinkler system installed.

Any recommendations for the Northeast side/Kingwood area?

    Ask for Dan

They installed a sprinkler system for me late last year that includes soaker hose around the perimeter of the house, a rain-sensor on the roof that shuts the system down if it is raining and the system is set to go off, and a fully programmable controller. For a little extra cash, they also replaced the old water pipe that runs from the city water supply to my house...doing this greatly increased the water pressure in my house after the drought.

Dan is friendly and professional. His crew was on time and on budget. Two weeks after installation, he came out personally to make a few tweaks/adjustments I wanted done, and didn't charge me.

    I highly recommend this company.

I am in the market for a sprinkler system as well. Do you mind if I ask the costs? How many zones? Sq ft of yard?

My lot is 1/4 of an acre (about 10,000 sq ft). House was built in 1954 and is only 1500 sq. ft., which means I have a huge backyard. You could fit an olympic size pool in it with room to spare.

9 zones including front yard, back yard, and soaker hose (he put the soaker hose on a separate zone so I could run it anytime I wanted to).

Total cost was in the $3200-$3300 range.
