I will take this loss with ease. We had a great weeking going 3:1 including win over Indiana, the best team in the east, period.

We are tired and the loss on the road is expected. We probably just don' t have the energy to play tough D after the win last night.

Take a break tomorrow and let's go on Monday.

I see our great Coach brought our two best defensive players in for the end of the Game. For the Rockets a positive for some"steve looked good". Yao Ming:- a waste of time going to play. Yao Ming should only play in the home games, thats when he is included as a major contributor! I could do a better job of coaching this Team!!!!

    I have a question.

Why does Rice take so many damn 3's?? Everytime he gets anything close to an open 3 he jacks it up. What is his percentage? It seems like he's always missing.

Not to mention EG, who was shutting down KG. Once again, rudy blows.

That's a good damn question. Where the hell is Posey? Is Rudy Retarted? Why did we trade for him if he is'nt gonna play?
I can accept this loss. But if we lose to the jazz or knicks at home then we are pathetic. PERIOD.

Someone please confirm THAT YAO DID NOT ATTEMPT ONE SHOT IN THE LAST QUARTER:rolleyes:

Great use of our inside weapon. Hats off to Rudy and our guards. And while I'm aggravated, Cuttino's shot selection is crappy. I don't know why RT tolerates it.

phew, thank god there hasn't been any overreaction to a loss on the road to an 8-4 home team on the 2nd night of a back to back.

If I recall correctly, Yao was fouled at least 3 or 4 times in the 4th when setting up to shoot, so you won't see that in the FG attempted stats. Yet another thing that stats don't show you.

Ming was lost on defense a few times this game. He was constantly caught out of position which resulted in a few dunks and open shots for their frontline players. Yao was giving up points and rebounds at a silly rate near the beginning. There are times Yao doesn't even jump at rebounds that are right there in over him. I hate that!

It wasn't lack of Yao or offense that cost us this game... our defense stank in the 1st, 2nd, and 4th quarters.

    D of D,

Can't disagree with you about our soft defense.

That being said, when we dump the ball to Yao in the low block good things seem to happen. I didn't see much of that down the stretch. Yao has proven himself at clutch time already and we pretty much ignored him.

    Not smart basketball.

As far as not playing posey here's a good idea let's trade for tracy mcgrady and rudy can put him in for the last two minutes of each game. Is'nt Rudy an f-ing genius? He is so scared to say something to his precsious little players when they paly so stupid or with no effort, maybe we need a man like Doug Moe or Bob Knight to come in and light a fire under these little pansey's asses.
    1.- Play Posey
2.- Either make Rice lose weight or let him carry his twinkie's under his folds of fat so he can pull one out and take a bite before each three he shoots.
3.- Every time steve and cuttino take a stupid shot they have to kiss Larry Smith.
4.- Run the offense through Ming 60-70% of the time.
5.- Tell Eddie Griffin until he improves his shot to concentrate on rebouning and defense.
6.- Give moochie a new job. maybe he can be our new mascot.

Ok so now we better be 17-11 at weeks end.

Yao is too tired today. Rudy should try to build Yao's
stamina step by step, otherwise his performance
would not be consistant. I guess at mean time, Yao
should play at most three games per week.

LOL. Thompson (a great announcer) kept on commenting on Mo's weight. It was pretty funny.

    Eddie was great defensively tonight.

I'm guessing Posey is either already in the doghouse or he has to learn the offense. I guess KT hasn't had any problems with Philly's offense. He's playing. Maybe Rudy is confusing Posey with another Denver player? He does realize that Posey averaged 15/6 in Denver, right?

Yes, Yao did draw 2-3 fouls in one short span when the Rockets made an attempt to get him the ball. But, not sure what you mean "setting up to shoot"; all that matters is that he didn't take a single shot.

It wasn't a conspiracy to keep the ball from Yao, but it's obvious the Rockets lost patience with the offense that worked well for them in the 3rd quarter. They started jacking up jumpers, and that's a big part of the reason the offense sputtered (well, as long as they weren't making the jumpers... which they certainly were NOT).

We gave up 24 pts in the 4th, and 23 in the 2nd. Not fabulous, but hardly a total lapse defensively.

Take a look at the 17 pts scored in the 4th and tell me that didn't cost us the game.
