Also: Spoiler Is Talisa replacing Jeyne Westerling as Robb's love interest? That seems odd to me why they'd bother to change that.
I had mixed feelings about the scene. Obviously very badass on his part, but also kind of a deux ex machina. Does anyone know if that was in the book?
completely different angle in the books, arya was at harrenhal a long time, she was first under the command of a guy they called weasel, and she had him killed, and then she was under the command of another i forgot what his name was, but the story of harrenhal is its haunted, so the way they are portraying that it could be a ghost is well done in that respect,
I can't remember all of who Arya killed in the book, but I know the Tickler and Amory Lorch weren't among them. I did like her having to waste a kill on Lorch due to her being careless and being caught with the letter. In the books, Lorch was the one put in charge of Harrenhal by Lord Tywin. There are so many people she wants to kill, namely Joffrey and Tywin, and now she's down to one name left.
Where is the new Tyrion slapping Joffrey gif ? Somebody get on that. EDIT: oh somebody alrdy posted it. ty
Not a spoiler but . . . Spoiler It never says so in the book but Do you get the feeling that Robert Baratheon's death was more Cersei than Tywinn's doing? Rocket River
Spoiler Absolutley. Cersie mentions that she was planning it all along but when Jon Arryn and then Ned discovered hers and Jamie's secret she had to speed up the process.
seriously stop clogging this thread with book discussion The destination is the same, who cares if the journey is a little different. As a book reader I enjoy the "what if" scenarios watching the show.

It didn't bother me, maybe because it's just plain cool. I haven't read the books yet (but I will); reading about the character (the assassin) on a "wiki of Ice and Fire" , I found that Spoiler he's so good because of certain magical powers (which is oversimplifying).
I thought last nights episode was great, and I'm liking some of the changes they are doing. It makes it more interesting for those who already read the books since you'll see some things that you weren't expecting.
I thought the last episode was really good. I actually wasn't looking forward to it that much because it seemed predictable and slow but the episode was very entertaining. Theon fits his new role so well and they did a great job depicting his transformation. Winterfell is finally active again and we get to see those characters doing something other than listening to complaints and talking about dreams. Also, the Hound was so awesome, Arya's story line is getting very interesting, and King's landing finally saw some action (Joffrey getting imp slapped never gets old). On a side note, I'm finding Cersei to be pretty boring and am hoping we see less and less of her. She appears too one dimensional and I think her back and forth with Tyrion was great but now is getting incredibly stale. I've read almost all of the first book btw but haven't read anything past that.
I'm really liking all of Arya's scenes at Harrenhal and especially he back and forth with Tywin. They have only shown a tad bit of it so far but I like the way the are showing Rob's relationship with his mother and how it kind of transforms as he struggles at times with being her King and her son.
Great episode so far. I'm in a way glad I've read the ACOK like 12yrs ago and I wouldn't remember if they made many chances in which I've read that they did. Theon was great and OSHA. Wow. Only 4 more episodes to go. F@ck, they are totally rushing it.
I like most of the characters in the show, even the evil ones but I find Daenerys' storyline pretty uninteresting. Her character development arc also seems a bit strange. She starts off in season one as weak and helpless, then becomes wiser and stronger once she becomes khaleesi, then turns turns into a whining spoilt brat in Qarth with no sense of reality or politics.
