I've never understood rockets only fans. Either you love basketball and you watch it or you don't. I guess this is why we have quite a few people in this forum who are rockets fans who don't really know much about the game of basketball. Based on some of the threads and takes I've seen, it makes sense.
I watch here and there when I can find the time. Usually have better luck with the late games. Definitely more than the regular season. Say what you want about the state of the NBA these days, but it still doesn't get much better than playoff basketball, especially after the 1st round. Like everyone else, I'll watch more the deeper it gets into the playoffs. Really looking forward to the 2nd round. Can't believe the Bulls sorry luck. I was really looking forward to that inevitable matchup with the Heat. spurs/heat should be a very entertaining Finals matchup. Hope it goes 7 games.
Yes and watching denver flop their way out of potentially tying the series took away all the rainbows and butterflies in my stomach and penis from watching OKC sweep Dallas...
Most boring first round ever Philly-Chicago (Rose injured, Noah out, nobody cares anymore, both team going no where) Orlando-Indiana (seriously, nobody cares) NY-Heat (only interesting thing is Amare punching fire extinguisher) Spurs-Jazz (mismatch to the max, no contest) Only interesting series Atlanta-Celtics (again too many injuries, everyone's old as hell, only watching to see Tmac curse) Lakers-Denver (only watching to see Denver win one or two games, against mismatch) Dallas-OKC (great on paper, but Dallas got swept) ONLY Series worth watching Clips-Memphis
I'm curious to know if anyone on this board even cares all that much about a possible Boston Celtics/Philadelphia 76ers encounter in the next round. I really think that that series should be a rather fun series for NBA fans to watch imo. It sure looks likely right now. Can anyone on this board remember that EC rivalry being a rather heated one decades ago? Just think, since 1985, those two teams only met once in a playoff series, which was in a 2002 first round encounter, which was then a best of five. I'm thinking that should that second round encounter come to fruition, then maybe, that rivalry will be revived after this postseason.
I'm a basketball fan, so I can't help myself. I've watched some of the games. I watch the playoffs regardless of who is in them. Used to watch more, but I've grown so disgusted with David Stern's NBA that I can hardly muster an ounce of "give a crap" about the whole league. Doesn't help that my favorite team is stuck on the treadmill and no where to be seen right now. That said, I'm rooting for San Antonio and OKC... couple of small market teams that are tearing it up without a bunch of prima donna assholes. That's good for the NBA.
