Talk about clumsy hands, he had an open lane to the basket! He was completely freaking open. Way to lose the game Rick.
Hmmm... Kobe hits clutch 3 pointer, then blows past Iverson for dunk on the next play, and Fox gets the last shot and drops the ball. I know it was a good play, but I would have won or lost with Kobe. No wonder during those zoom shots of Kobe, he was shaking his head during the timeout while Phil drew up the play. He must have been thinking, Man, I know the idiot will drop the ball. Psychic!
On a related Laker note, whatever happened to Shaq "making them when they count"? Dude has a hot 5-6 game stretch last May and all of a sudden he thinks he's Reggie Miller from the foul line... I wonder what he's saying now.
It was a Great play because it had the entire Sixers team fooled. Oh well. At this rate, you have to ask yourself if they'll even make the playoffs.
The pass was fine; a little late (the ball was behind Fox) and maybe a little wide. I didn't catch the game (both teams are painful to watch) but will say that the play wasn't well-executed; Fox knew to cut, but didn't anticipate the pass for whatever reason. Only one loss...
Yeah...who needs coaching plays that attain a wide open lay up with two seconds to go to win the game.
A play that absolutely fooled an entire defensive minded team, and maybe even the oppositions very fine coach. And the pass was terrible. Fox was cutting to the hole which made any pass behind him and at the back of his head near impossible to catch and go back up with before defenders may of collapsed down on him.
Didn't that pass come in behind his head as he was cutting away from the passer? I don't see too many people controlling that one.
100% -- he never should have passed to Fox. Robert is Mr. Clutch. Prissy Boy Fox cannot clutch a perfect pass.
