Jr. College... for general studies right?
If I can do right with all my AP classes I'll already be starting college as a Sophomore with the majority of all my general studies courses accounted for.

    So different situation?

    A job is a killer.

I mean, I've seen people get out of it and it looks even better on them because they can trumpet that they've overcome challenges. If you're doing so well already, I think you'll be able to power through. But it is a challenge.

Companies want to hire someone with work experience though. Yes for some extremely wealthy, a degree is just something they put on their wall when daddy/ or daddy's friend hires them.

A student with a 3.4 and 4 years of job experience is more attractive than a student with a 3.7 but has never lifted a finger outside of school.

But he'll miss out on the skeezers, hoes and scallywops. Nothing says college freshman like the chick wearing her F-me heels on the first day of school.

    Damn.
All I wanted to do in my senior year was smoke weed, do cocaine, and inject copious amounts of heroin into my body. That's what all us lefties do right?

You can get your first 60 hours from a jr college then transfer. Yes it'd be general education, you can specialize a little bit though. Almost all courses transfer.

This is true, I missed out on this. But I am graduating with around half the debt of my classmates. Anyways the skeezes are still there when your a jr, just a little harder to find them when you're not in a dorm.

No that's what you do when you become a waiter while going to school.

Totally, just save up and buy enough in bulk so you can sell half. That way your half will be paid for.

I like scallywops, I think I'm going to use that more often.

True, but there's a difference between being able to work summers to accumulate good work experience, and having to work s**t jobs during the semester because you can't afford to eat.

You'll be able to do the weed. Depending on if you work in Wall Street, cocaine might work too. I cannot in good conscience recommend copious amounts of heroin, but once a week would do.

    ...kinda getting back on topic---

Seems like people are making a big deal out of it.

Incidentally, an indirect beneficiary might be Barack Obama, as sliding oil prices will probably show up at the pump, while if it is well-contained, panic should not affect the real economy in the United States.

It's an interesting look into why gas prices might not be your best macroeconomic gauge, though it will be satisfying to see some people who trumpet it as a failure of Obama's policies backtrack on that.

    Oil at $98.59.

Greece needs to realize they aren't an economic powerhouse. Free education, extremely early retirement, free healthcare I believe... And what do they produce?

    bad debt

    badoompshhh

(There no doubt needs to be reform of Greece's fiscal policies, I'm just not sure stuffing it through now at the point of an international austerity gun is the best idea. Hopefully the Greeks learn. They did make a mess out of everything, but to be totally honest, they should never have been admitted into the EU and the monetary accord in the first place.)

Half of my family are extreme Republicans. I just remember them saying

-If we don't get Obama out of office, we will be the next Greece.

Even though I'm not a fan of the man, I just smiled and laughed in my head because it was obvious they had no idea what they are talking about. Austerity should happen there. People have no reason to believe they are entitled to all those programs when your country does so little.

Unless they live on Mt. Olympia of course!

The EU is very similar to the Articles of Confederation, except it's bigger and the countries lack anything in common. There are three options going forward:
    1) Ditch the Euro, keep the EU as is.
    2) Unite all fiscal policy (unlikely)
    3) Return to the pre-EU days (popular among some, but probably not widespead)

Honestly, if there is going to be a common currency there needs to be a set of regulations on how recovery packages are to be done. As we're seeing, nationalism presents this. Other countries don't like being told what to do, and nobody wants their tax money being spent recklessly.

If we are to have an internationalist market with one currency, we need an internationalist mindset.

Well, Obama has completely failed at fiscal discipline, so in that sense we are not unlike Greece.

If Obama has completely failed at fiscal discipline then Bush must be mentally r****ded and/or braindead?
