a fade away is normally considered a perimeter move..... IMO

Oh man, I remember studying that first clip religiously just to get all the nuances down. So smooth.

did he actually invent that? i have a hard time believing that. i mean when i used to post up on that side of block, i used that move all the time and nobody ever taught me that. it's just such a natural move for me. the normal face-up step-back jumper is the harder one for me because my handling sucks. there must be someone before dirk that used this move.

kobe using shoulder to rise up, while dirk just rises up. The shots look similair, BUT they are not because Kobe is more square up to the basket, while Dirk is not. Dirk just shoots the ball sideway.

I copied this same move the other day while playing a pickup game.

Based on the evidence, I believe that I too should be in the same discussions as Kobe, Dirk, MJ, etc etc etc.

Kobe chucking again. 7 foot fade away while being triple teamed in the post. Almost airball.

    LOL.

Hakeem's repertoire of moves and counter-moves means you have to defend the fadeaway, jump hook, dunk or lay-up.
