I know he is injured right now, but when he came into the league, Rudy was interested in him as a 3. I would think that it would be worth the risk to bring him in next year at a decent rate. Sounds like he will be fully recovered, and he is a very good prospect. Here is an article about his recovery and what happened to him. DaDakota
I hope he heals and I hope he will find a place on an NBA team. Just not on the Rockets. We do not need him at all.
Id much rather have Posey. Posey lives here, practices here, wants to be here. He has experience, can score and defend. Why do we want a guy who hasnt proven anything just recovering from a serious injury? Doesnt make any sense.
Because he is potentially a great player, and we could pick him up relatively cheap. Before he was injured he was starting to look like a real player. The Rocks can never have enough good players. DaDakota
No, Portland has a group of good players who think they're superstars and greater than the team. Hopefully, Houston can grow up to be like the Pacers, a team loaded with good players who still understand that its a team game.
Dermarr is a bit lazy - the Hawks have been pretty frustrated with him. When he is not lazy, he is too passive and will not use his skills in the game. He still has a lot to prove, but his injury should not in any way limit him in the future...it was amazing that he got off so lightly from that nasty wreck.
DeMarr was never potentially a great player. Maybe at the high end of his potential, almost a good player. Leaving college early screwed up any chance of this kid ever being good. He was never mature enough to handle being in the NBA when he should have been a sophomore. I saw a lot of Demarr down here in Cinci. Guy would have been much better off buying some insurance against injury on his NBA career and sticking it out at cinci another year or two. He was the definition of not ready. Some guys can handle the jump early, a lot of guys can't.
At Atlanta, Demarr was very inconsistent. One game, he'd have the Hawks brass comparing him to Tracy McGrady. But more often than not, you'd see almost nothing out of him. I mean, the Hawks signed Ira Newble in the middle of the year last season and he amost immediately took away Demarr's spot. The guy's got potential and maybe he'll work harder because of the accident. But I think Posey would be a better player (if it came down to one of those two).
