The guy played over 1,000 NBA minutes and took exactly ONE shot from the arc. And missed it. And shot 54% from the FT line. He was 22 on April 24th. The Rockets already have a PF trying to masquerade as a SF. Taking risks is a good thing. Just not this risk.
He's a mismatch either way. But I doubt that the wizards would make that deal anyway. I'm sure that they see his potential also. But you never know. It took gay, galo a couple of years to figure it out. Paul George is still learning. They might bit on even a vet like kmart if they like their team enough. It's just a player that has a lot to offer in my opinion.
Reminds me Anthony Randolph... Or Yi Jianlian Or any other tall guy who seemed to have tools but couldn't put them togeter...one year sure but he's had the minutes to do something and has not shown much on a team that needs it.
Anthony Randolph is a good comparison also. This would be the worse case scenario. But I think that Jan isn't the behavioral nightmare that Randolph was/ is. I can't say that I see any comparison to Yi, though. I dunno.
Random trades are meant for random trade thread smart guy. Unfortunately we dont have a separate thread for trades that just dont make any sense at all.
Yeah but Parsons has pretty much reached his ceiling like most a four year college players, the position were in (having no franchise player) we need guys with higher upside at all cost.
I can only think of a couple examples of real superstar level players who didn't have at least have a few games that revealed their superstar potential in their rookie campaign. Steve Nash is really the only guy who comes to mind. Even guys like Kobe and Garnett who came straight out of high school had some big games by the end of their first season. Guys like Magic, Bird, Michael, Dream and Lebron were all among the best players in the league in their rookie season.
